I really wanted to pay off my bill ASAP so they would stop calling my mom's house (where I have not lived for 15+ years), but they're still calling her and embarrassing me. Their contact page on the Collect Cents website does not work. Nobody replies to any emails, I left several voicemails and got no response. If you live outside of Canada and you're paying off an old bill, you are basically screwed. They don't know how to accept foreign payments. I had a wire transfer bounce and get sent back, so I had to mail them a written check by Registered Mail and even still, did not receive confirmation that I paid my bill in full. Even after paying I am still getting notifications from them. Come on guys step it up

Don't forget, third party collection agencies have absolutely no power.They can't do anything to make you pay other than empty threats and fear mongering. Stop making payments, stop all communication and wait for the statute of limitations to run out on your debt. Every payment restarts the clock.

They called my friend saying their in in debt when their not nor do they know these people yet they had his full name and bank info? Like no. How is this place still even open? Also they are supposed to be closed weekends.

If I could rate 0 I would. This company is ridiculous. First they gave me the wrong account number which I had confirmed on the phone 3 times. So I sent a payment to it. To have them call me saying that wasnt the right account. And I had to call my bank to sort that out. Paid them in full and have yet to receive written notification, to be tossed back and forth. They call me every day, email and even though I've sent proof I've paid they refuse to take it off my credit saying I still owe them. I refuse to send them another payment and I wouldn't deal with them if you can avoid it.

I was contacted by this company first via mail, and called them to settle debt owed. We worked out a payment plan paid out over the course of 5 months. As it's been coming up on the 5th month, I've been calling them weekly to check in about my records and confirm my debt will be cleared after final payment. It's been 6 weeks now and my final payment has been taken from my account I've left countless messages and have received no response from them whatsoever. Due to a recent move, I have misplaced my first letter from them. But will be visiting my bank tomorrow to cancel all collections from them moving forward as I have no clue who is handling my account or where my money is going. Very disappointed with their service. Ignoring clients who are PAYING you makes your company look fraudulent.

I would recommend all potential clients to consider a different 3rd party for their recovery needs. This place is extremely inefficient and unprofessional. If there is the slightest misunderstanding, or if an agent simply does not care because you're claiming to already have paid your bill and want to forward proof, they will still push the debtor to call YOU to sort it out. I've learned this helping my sister with a bill that was already paid and being rushed off the phone because the agent knows there's no money to be chased here for her quota. I also worked there a long time ago and the place is as sleezy as it gets run by a couple of Tony Soprano wannabes. You can do better than this place. Still waiting for resolution or we will involve the client on the next call.

I called THEM to make a payment and they refused to take it. The person who handles my account wasn't in yet and for privacy purposes" no other agent can take a payment from me even though it's MY privacy they're supposedly protecting... not to mention the fact that they're already in my file.They call and harass you and even your family 10+ times a day... and when im finally ready to pay

So the other day the woman at the front desk, LITERALLY admitted they were doing illegal activity, as they told me they have no right to touch my money without permission, yet they've took at least 200 dollars, without my consent, also the guy named Derek Bouchet, will leave blank messages and also lie and say his name is Michael Bouche, as the woman at the front desk said a Michael Bouche does not exist, This keeps happening and I promise the facility will be under investigation.

I paid an old account with these guys on May 9, 2020 (writing this on Nov 23, 2021). This is still showing up on my credit report and recently I started to get contacted by a different 3rd party collection agency for the same debt. I have been trying to resolve this every month or two since I paid this off 1.5 years ago. Every time I waste an hour on phone calls and get the run-around.

If I had to discribe this company in two words it would be unprofessional and disgusting.If you have the bad luck of dealing with these people you need to protect yourself immediately. Call b.c consumer protection immediately! *Or the equivalent* They will give you all the tools you need including a phone number for free legal advice to protect yourself from these people.Their agents will threaten and try to intimidate you. Do not fall for this ILLEGAL tactic. You have the rights and they are not allowed to treat you however they feel. Their management has 0 problem with these illegal and unethical tactics so you need to protect yourself.Educate yourself on one party consent" so you can properly document everything. If they find out you're recording they will try to tell you you can't and stop talking to you over the phone. It's because they know what they are doing is illegal and they have fostered a environment of 0 accountability.This is when the free legal advice phone number B.C consumer protection agency will come in handy.Good luck
