Stunning location, overall amazing experience. We booked the pub for dinner and there was live music, great food, very reasonably priced. Got breakfast boxes for the next morning and ate them outside our room (we stayed in the brookside). Did the tour the next morning, which was very informative. Will definitely recommend to anyone coming to NS and will return myself!

I already loved their product (only Canadian single malt whisky), now even more. Loved our guided tour with a passionate tour guide who's so knowledgeable. The pub fare and music were fabulous. Can't wait to go back again

We decided to stay in the Chalet after a long day driving the Cabot Trail, upon arriving you pull into a beautiful property with a large archway and driveway that leads straight to the distillery. The building as well as the grounds itself are so magnificent that makes it seem you have hopped across the ocean to Scotland. We checked into our Chalet and were a little disappointed in the fact that the restaurant was only open seasonally which I feel they should state somewhere as there were not a lot of options open as we arrived just after 5pm.When we walked into the chalet we were immediately impressed as it was small but big enough for a couple and is super cozy. There is a wood fireplace to heat the chalet and a huge jacuzzi tub. Very nice spot for a couple. The next morning we walked onto the patio and was blown away by the view. Before checking out we did the tour of the distillery which is about 20 min. Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, we wanted to leave with a bottle but it’s important to note that their cheapest available option is 80$ but is available at most liquor stores throughout the country. So if you want a bottle of whiskey that you can only get at the distillery you will be paying a pretty penny. The sales woman was a little pushy which can turn away most people. Other than that, I do think you are paying for the experience but I am glad I experienced it.

Amazing place, very beautiful and cozy! Came here for the pub and loved everything about it! The menu is very good and have a great veggie falafel burger! There’s many things you can get here, highly recommend the falafel burger or the lobster roll burger! Overall, great dinner experience and would come again!

Visited for an interesting distillery tasting tour and lunch of mussels, burgers, smashed fish cakes. Pleasant setting and service, good (but not great) food, local music. Lovely grounds with gardens.

The property is stunning. We stayed in one of the rooms in the main inn. Lovely, comfortable, and clean. Amazingly friendly staff. Had dinner in the Dining Room vs. the pub. Beautiful, exposed beam wood roof and tasty food from a smaller menu.Took the 30 minute tour before we left, to learn about the single-malt production process.Highly recommend all of it.

Everything about this stay was great! Yes it will cost but it is well worth it. Cabin was so nice and the veiw was spectacular. All the staff was very easy going and answered all questions with real information. The food was beyond great. Even the cigar was excellent. Well worth staying if you want an experience.

We decided to stop here on our adventure through Cape Breton Island. I am so glad we did.The tour was underwhelming but for the price it was worth it. The grounds are amazing and basically everything is a photographers dream. After the tour we decided to eat at the Pub they have on site. This was the best place we ate on the island. They kindly warned us ahead of time of the staff shortage and they staggered the seating so that the kitchen wouldn’t fall behind. We got our food in a timely manor, it was warm and delicious. I had the braised beef poutine and my fiancé had the Cod Cakes.
