This was such a beautiful and unique experience! Pearl and her team have been wonderful helping me in so many ways to prépare my big day. I got my hair and make-up done by Himo. Pearl helped me prepare for my wedding in many ways all was perfect! I fell in love with all of them! Beautiful human beings with great talent! I recommend them to everyone!

BEWARE! Please read before you go here! This salon deserves less than one star! Pearl has destroyed my friends hair turning it green and installed the most ratchet set of extensions I have ever seen in my life. This salon is a joke. All her 5 star reviews are a joke. This woman took her money and destroyed her hair. Honestly don’t believe her to be a good person or a trained hair stylist, she should really close down her shop and seek a career as a bar wench. This salon is a dump and her website is a scam, all I can see are fake reviews supporting a horrible stylist.FYI, this is NOT a ploy to encourage this salon to do the right thing by reimbursing a portion or all of the cost of the horrible services my friend has received.

I had an excellent experience with Alyson yesterday! I have a lot of anxiety when I go to have my haircut because I have had so many experiences of the stylist not listening to what I want. I asked her if it was possibleTo have a dry cut..not only was it possible but it turned out exactly how I wanted.Alyson listened , gave her points of view , and I walked out of there without a “hat on til I get home so I can wash it “ style.Great experience, lots of laughs and I felt like we have been friends for years. I have never written a review for a stylist , so that should say something.

I got my hair done here with their Stylist Alyson and it was an absolutely lovely experience! I am a student and so rarely get my hair done. The Salon is very cute, professional and well put together without feeling pretentious. I felt so spoilt by such kind people that actually knew how to cut curly hair and properly balance hair color with the relative warmth or coolness of skin tones! I will be going here as long as I live in Halifax, and would highly recommend!

I came into this Salon to have some extensions removed that weren't for me. They were uncomfortable and very heavy. I couldn't reach the person who installed them and ELA Lani booked me in that day and were more than happy to help me.Once I got into the salon the extensions would not come out with the regular method. It turns out that the person who installed the extensions used some cheap hair that had a low quality adhesive. The ladies in this salon did everything they could for three and a half hours to save my hair. They tried heat, they tried solvents, and as a last resort Pearl even went to her car to grab coconut oil because some reviews online said it may help. We ended up having to cut my hair, but like I told them it was a happy accident because the cut was super cute and I ended up getting a ton of compliments.Overall, I can't thank the team at ELA Lani enough for everything they did for me. They truly care about what they do and it shows. Thanks you!

What a fabulous and welcoming salon! I followed Alyson from her training school to here because she gave me one of my best haircuts. Looking forward to many more appointments with Alyson!

Avoid this place, everything was extremely unprofessional and the results were bad. Don’t be fooled by her nice personality and false advertisement and can see now I’m not the first read reviews on other sites. I am an easy going person and tried to make the best of it but uncomfortable environment, colour turned yellow instead of blonde and extensions very visible and coming up at the corners and strings hanging out everywhere before first wash and painful on scalp. Had to wear a hat for my entire 3 week work trip. Was mislead to think I was being refunded since I paid over 1000$ for these results “accounting department is working on it please wait 7 business days” and never was, so after reaching out again was only reimbursed 125$ for the bad colour that I’m going to have to pay to have fixed on my already damaged hair. Should not call and offer book clients on day off if not equipped to handle it many people work long hours and still manage to do their jobs. tools flying everywhere, put hair straightener on floor when not using then back in my hair couldn’t even find scissors to cut my hair tried 2 pairs of dull ones that were catching and pulling. so very disorganized very overcharged, hilarious to charge people the price of a high end salon for this back yard operation. If you need to have your staff post good reviews it’s a you problem.Update, I received a very rude phone call from owner after posting this review and also this appointment was booked days ahead of time when I called “salon” to book appointment and she returned my call on personal phone said she “would be bored s**tless on her day off anyways” so booked me for a Sunday assuring me that this would work for my hair. (and wouldn’t be unraveling the next day) ** NEVER OFFERED TO DELETE REVIEW** only said that I would have updated to say they had atleast been fair and followed through with the refund their “accounting dept” was supposedly working on and would have added to review that they did the right thing. This is the only review I have written on the subject I have nothing to do with other reviews but if the shoe fits..

I’ve had several wonderful experiences at this salon! I go to Alyson and she always give me the exact look I want, while making the salon experience enjoyable too. Her skill and creativity are very high quality, and I see beautiful work being done in the salon by the other stylists too!
