Gite Grand Môment

Located near Lake Temiscouata, Gite Grand Moment is situated in the beautiful town Témiscouata-sur-le-Lac. Although the sun doesn't set on the lake, it still projects a colourful sky in the evening. Hiking down to the lake from the B&B in the evening was one of our highlights during our stay.Our room was equipped with an air conditioner, ceiling fans, a fridge and a 48 inches+ TV. The towels were high quality. The whole B&B was decorated with numerous items collected by the owner over the years. There was no single theme but one must appreciate the time she spent to try to make it a cheerful place. I am not an interior designer; so, I will let those who are more qualified to comment.The climax of our stay was none but the breakfast. The freshness of the ingredients, the well balanced taste, the presentation... It was in such high quality that it could challenge the best of chefs. It definitely captured the love of my eyeballs and my tastebuds.Having said all that, I regretted that I could not give it a 5 star rating. There was no major flaw but many little ones. For example, the bathroom had no exhaust fan, the power outlet near the sink was not GFCI, the 5 GHz wifi could not reach our room with a strong enough signal (the 2.8 GHz channel worked BTW), etc. For all of these minor points, I had to deduct a star.Overall, it was an enjoyable stay. If you speak French, I am sure you can learn more stories from the cheerful owner. I, however, can only regret that my French fluency has since stopped at grade 9 (and failed) level.

I was so happy to find this place! I arrived after 10pm and just sleep and heading to Maine in the morning. I wish I had more time to stay this lovely B&B. The host Pauline is super nice and kind. I will definitely come back this place in the future. Highly recommend;)

A superb breakfast and comfortable room. We enjoyed our animated conversation with our host and other guests. My wife and I will return. We are happy to provide our recommendation.

Great bed and breakfast with a very friendly host! The food was great and the bed comfy. Room was clean and stocked with the essentials. Room has two fans to keep you cool, the location is great close to the beach and some good restaurants.

Pauline will look after you and make you an amazing breakfast!!!

Just wanted to say thankyou for a very enjoyable stay at Git Grand Moment. The room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. Pauline was very friendly and a great Host. The breakfast was amazing, I'll let the other pictures posted speak for themselves. Will definitely be returning to this BnB.

The three of us, we stayed in a studio downstairs, that was ideal for us. Nicely decorated and very clean. The beds were very comfortable and the whole apartment was absolutely clean and quiet. There is a backyard with swings for children. Pauline, the host, welcomed us warmly and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast the next morning was exceptionally good! All guests sat and ate together. A great, very familiar atmosphere. And the food was delicious. We can definitely recommend this auberge!
