I don't typically like to provide unfavorable reviews but patients might want to know that from a recent experience I had to rebook (gave 2 days notice) an appt. for an injection for my 88 year old mom. Apparently they don't have a cancellation waiting list so due to xmas days off we have to wait another month and I was basically told that if her vision degresses they won't take accountability.Anyway..the technicians are friendly during her visit although plan at least 2 hours out of the day...I am assuming she is getting the right treatment...just don't change your appointment..it will not be a pleasant experience rebooking.

Doctors are doing their job but the whole system / administration around them is frustrating. 10AM appointment delayed by 3 hours is something you can expect here on regular basis. They do not provide any reasons or updates about the delay. I hope they adopt a better scheduling system, friendlier staff and tools to inform patients of the delays.

I have no idea who Mr. Hanna is talking about. I have been seeing Dr. Fielding 3 or 4 times a year since 2011 and he and his staff have always been pleasant and professional. I never had a problem and the longest I have waited past the appointment time is less than 30 minutes.

I had just gotten back from a scheduling problem and receptionist already looks annoyed. While she was talking to me a technician came out and called my name so I walked towards the technician because I assumed she needed me already. The receptionist slightly slammed the clipboard while putting it away and the technician was apologizing to her and was saying she didn’t mean to interrupt and she said something along the lines of “well i don’t know who’s talking to her because she’s over there now”. while the technician was apologizing, she had her back turned against her just looking at the computer screen, disregarding everything she’s saying and was just giving her attitude right in front of me. Not that it’s any of my business, but if you’re going to work in a professional environment, act like it, learn how to properly talk to your co workers because the way that was handled was not correct and I suggest that she doesn’t act like that in front of other patients because it’s just wrong and could’ve been handled better. That made me uncomfortable just being in that situation.Long wait times but it’s expected. The assistants, technicians and the specialists were all very kind and reassuring to me during the process.

I want to rate this by department..1-2 Starts: Reception Staff - When calling to book an appointment, it felt as if I was putting her off by talking to me. Rude, non-empathetic, and had to repeat myself numerous times in order to get the information through. Yes the wait time is long, this could be managed slightly better, not their fault.3-4 stars: Doctor - I believe I saw Dr. Fielding (??) and he was pleasant enough, though rushed in and out as if channelling Kramer from Seinfeld. He explained my diagnosis hurriedly though answered all questions thoroughly.5+ stars: Nurses and Behind the Scenes Staff - Excellent!!. When I had to have an injection in my eye (yes into the white part) they were so understanding of my anxiety and really reduced my stress level. Explained everything that was going to happen calmly and clearly.EDIT NOV 6/17..Changed from 3 to 1 starts. Just can't get past the front end staff who don't even acknowledge your presence when you arrive.. they are rude and condescending..AND now you have to pay to park..

My husband attended Calgary Retina Consultants and had surgery performed by Dr. Williams and we couldn't be more pleased with the care he received. Yes, the time in the clinic can involve some waiting, (just bring a book and a snack :) ) but we know that several assessments had to be done, by different technicians in order to confirm proper information and measurements. Also, we know that the doctors are sight-saving experts and make sure that everyone, even unscheduled emergencies, get the best care. You don't mind the wait because you know that if you ever need more time or extra care, they will provide it to you. The staff were lovely and helpful and kind. The parking isn't free, but the fee is so small compared to any hospital or downtown offices. We were very pleased with the care we received, thank you Dr. Williams and staff!!

Had surgery almost a year ago. Now I have flashes of yellow stars in my eye every time I turn my head and regular burst blood vessels. Do you think I could get an appointment to follow up? No chance. Listened to that annoying reception recording three times (4 minutes' worth) until I finally gave up.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kherani for 16 years. He is kind, his throughout with his examination and very professional. If you have the fortune of becoming his patient, then consider yourself lucky to be under really good care because of his expertise and years of service.Unfortunately, there aren't many Ophtalmologist with his level of education in Alberta. This is the reason why we all have to wait long hours at the clinic each time we visit.

I take my mom regularly at this clinic for about two years now. Clinic is over all good and doctors are very professional. However one person I would like to specially recognize is Dave who does ocr tests before injection. I have found him to be genuinely caring and empathetic to seniors. During couple of years of visitations, mom has been assigned to various techs for testing and we always hope that we get him to test her. He would take extra steps to make sure mom is comfortable while testing. We wish him the best..

I have been Dr. Kherani’s patient for over three years. I receive injections in my left eye every four to six weeks. He is very knowledgeable, caring and compassionate. This is a busy clinic, but he is always calm and ready to listen and answer all my questions. The wait times can be long, but all the staff from the reception, to various technicians, assistants and specialists are trying their best. Thank you!
