Treat yourself to one of the most beautiful guest houses you’ll find *anywhere*! Angela and Jeff are warm, welcoming hosts who’ve taken incredible care in restoring and refining their home. The common areas are inviting, our guest bathroom was huge and gorgeous, and our bedroom was beautifully furnished and full of thoughtful extra touches that made us feel like we were staying in a luxury resort. The Gothik is on a quiet residential street so the breeze coming in the window carried only cricket sounds, and the high-quality mattress and bedding made for a perfect night’s sleep. The icing on the cake was a 5-star breakfast (with 5-star coffee!) the morning we left, and a chance to chat more with Angela and Jeff. We bought some of their handcrafted chocolates to take on our travels, and our only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer. Don’t miss a chance to experience this hidden gem in Yarmouth.

We recently had the privilege of staying at the wonderfully historic Gothic Guest House. The house itself is a gem. The owners, Jeff and Angela are welcoming and gracious hosts who clearly take great pride in their home. The rooms are wonderfully well appointed, quiet and with top notch linens. The breakfast (we had the Moldovan crepes, which were made from Angela's own family recipe ) were simply excellent. Jeff goes out of his way to make your dining experience a special one. The food is thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. And simply excellent coffee! Truly a delight!My husband and I would heartily recommend anyone staying in the Yarmouth, N.S. area to spend a night or two there for a unique and memorable stay in this architecturally historic home.And, yes, the chocolates are fabulous!Five stars!

My husband and I chose to stay at The Gothik House whilst exploring Southern Nova Scotia. We are so glad we did as it was the highlight of our trip. If you appreciate beautiful architecture, cleanliness, excellent hospitality, high quality food and good vibes in general, this is the place to stay. Angela and Jeff put their whole hearts into providing a luxurious and relaxing atmosphere for their guests. You have plenty of privacy and space, but anything you need they are happy to provide. I was amazed just how Clean everything was, especially for an older building. Everything from the sheets, towels, dishes, toiletries to the food and all the little extras are all premium quality, so you really feel pampered. Do yourself a favour and pick up some of their incredibly rich chocolate (you'll be met with a sample on your bed, but trust me, you'll want more) and ask them about the history of the house. My only regret is not spending an extra night! We would absolutely stay here again. The value for your vacation dollars is just incredible! Thank you Jeff and Angela for a wonderful experience! ❤️

I booked the Gothik House to take my 86 year old mother to visit family and friends in the area. Jeff and Angela made this a very memorable, comfortable and relaxing trip for all of us. We slept very well all three nights of our stay and we enjoyed the amazing breakfasts. Jeff and Angela have just the right mix of engaging you in conversation and sharing interesting facts about the house and allowing their guests to enjoy some alone time. We would definitely stay at the Gothik house again. The next time I would try the Moldovan crepes and bring home more of their homemade chocolate. And Jeff, if you are reading this, I think the lime chocolate may be my favorite but it is hard to choose. Thank you for an amazing stay. Terri

This place is not to be missed - it's the most unique and interesting piece of local history. This lovingly restored gothic-styled home and library is such an adventure to explore. Hosts Jeff and Angela add so many beautiful touches and attention to detail, from the locally-made soaps in the beautiful bathroom and the chocolate in the room, and the delicious breakfast. The whole place is spotlessly clean and luxurious and is amazingly priced. Definitely check it out!

We had an amazing stay here! Highly recommended. Jeff and Angela are wonderful, friendly hosts. Breakfast was delicious and even included high quality loose leaf tea. The house & room was very nice - we particularly enjoyed the rain shower and reading in the library. We were happy to be able to take home some of their delicious handmade chocolate as well. :)

Had to give 5 Stars,We had planned a vacation travelling through out Nova Scotia for 10 days. our goal was to stay in the best B&B's we could find on our trip which were booked well in advance. We were not disappointed. We must say that the Gothik Guest House ranked as one of the best we stayed at. The property was incredibly well appointed, and tastefully presented. (obviously with great artistic ability). Our breakfast of authentic Moldavian Crepes , fruit and yogurt were delicious. Our host Jeff and Angela where gracious hosts that looked after our every need. The chocolate made on the premises is delicious.We were initially going to give 4 stars because the lac of an ensuite bathroom, but all the other aspects of our stay were so superior we had to give it 5 Stars.

The hosts here are incredibly accommodating and kind. The house itself is unique. Beautifully decorated. Like staying in a museum. Great location, though there is a bit of street noise. Stairs make this home challenging for those with mobility issues. No air conditioning but fans are provided and windows actually open. Breakfast is cooked to order. Very good coffee.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at the Gothik Guest House and would have loved to stay longer. We received a warm welcome and a lovely little treat on our bed. The room was lovely, comfortable and clean. The bathroom was very spacious. Breakfast was amazing, fresh fruit, creamy yogurt and delicious eggs Benedict. The price was fantastic compared to everywhere else we have stayed. The architecture is a must see We would highly recommend staying here.
