Ben is masterful at his craft. Over the years he has mounted several birds of various sizes and they are spectacular. Ben takes his time , but the wait is worth it.

My husband has had two full bird mounts done by Ben and the talent Ben and his staff have is amazing !Ben is a very knowledgeable taxidermist not only on his work, but of all the species. From what they feed on in the wild to their habitats etc. It’s a added value when he creates a mount with such detailed components. Giving each one a story.The friendly welcome you get and tour of his work explaining the process is a extra treat when stopping in. Amazing work! I don’t think there is a better taxidermist, especially with birds. I’ve attached a picture of the owls he did for me. The picture does not do them justice. I would highly recommend him.

Ben has done three fish and a couple birds for me. He is an amazing artist! He is hands down the man to use if you want the best job done.

I had Ben mount a mallard for me and as usual, his work is world class and exemplary. The detail, feather arrangement, body conformation and pose were perfect. Ben is truly a highly skilled taxidermist that I highly recommend.

I had Ben complete a red tail hawk for me and am completely blown away by how beautiful it is! It's no wonder he's consider one of the best in the business when it's comes to birds of prey and raptors. Definitely well worth the wait! Easy to communicate with and even helped coordinate having someone get it to Edmonton so we were able to split the fuel cost!

Ben mounted a Bald Eagle for me and I couldn’t be any happier. I am very picky when it comes to taxidermy. I want it to look life like. Ben is one of the few artists out there that can bring animals/birds back to life.When I started researching who to take my once in a lifetime bird too, nobody else’s work in Alberta, and for that matter all of Canada compared to his. Especially when it came to birds of prey.After visiting his shop and speaking to him first hand, I couldn’t believe how much attention to detail he puts into all of his work. I was completely blown away by the detail and reasoning for all of it. You will find many taxidermists willing to do the work for a much lower price, but you get what you pay for with Ben. Plus with a situation like mine where you have a once in a lifetime bird, don’t you want it to look alive and real? What’s the point of paying for something you are going to look at forever and not be 100% satisfied with.Ben was up front with me and told me that my bird would take sometime to complete. Which I was totally fine with if I was going to get a life like or museum quality mount back. To my surprise Ben contacted me to tell me my mount was ready to pick up, almost exactly when he told me it would be completed when I dropped it off. He did not over promise a completion date like so many other taxidermists do, and did exactly what he said he was going to do.No matter where you are located at, his work is totally worth the drive. For me it is a 10 hour drive(round trip) to his shop, and I wouldn’t hesitate to do it again.There no doubt Ben is one of the best in the business. I would challenge that there is nobody in North America that does birds of prey better than him. If I ever have the opportunity to have something mounted again, there will be no doubt who I will be taking it to.You wont be disappointed with Ben at Art of Taxidermy.Dan

When I was looking for a taxidermist I wanted to ensure that the quality and accuracy of anatomy was of highest craftsmanship. I compared other taxidermists work and ended up being referred to Ben and am so glad I did. Ben has mounted a white tailed deer and a red tailed hawk for me and the work speaks for it self. I am so glad to have met Ben and look forward to future work by him! If you are looking for the best, Ben is my recommendation.
