I just went in there to buy some shoes, but walked away bedazzled. A very nice employee grabbed a pair of runners for me to try on, and when I raised my head from tying them up, stood before me a god. The nice girl who had handed me the shoes had left, and been replaced by a man who made Brad Pitt look like a leaky bag of mashed potatoes. His knowledge of the shoes must have been great, because he rambled on while I got lost further in his eyes. I believe his name was Bort or Brud, and he seemed to manage everything there, except my emotions. I walked out of the store with a pair of shoes and some shorts I didn’t even want, but bought them because Bort touched them. They are now framed in my living room. Do yourself a favour and visit the Chatham sportchek, if only for Bort.

This store seemed to go through ups and downs in customer service over the years BUT since well before COVID started it's always been great! Need shoes? Always someone helpful even if you need to wait a few minutes or hunt someone down. Need new golf grips? A bike tune up? Other sports equipment needs? Very friendly help! Can't find a shirt or other clothing, they'll help with that too! Ready to cash out? Guess what, friendly staff there too! No one ever has the attitude like they're being bothered. Went in to buy my son a new hockey stick to replace the one he broke. It was out of warranty (30 days), and I asked if they could do something seeing as hockey was shut down for January. To my surprise, they extended the warranty another 30 days due the shut down and I was given a new Bauer Hyperlite. Big relief when your buying top dollar stcks! Thanks guys!

The on floor Staff were extremely helpful to me and the shoppers i brought with me. I have.had only two incidents where the cashiers forgot to ask for my Triangle points card which I had in my hand. I.lost a lot of points those times because I had over 200 dollars in merchandise both incidents.
