Extremely knowledgeable staff on specialty, professional grade make-up & other products used for movies, tv shows, theatre productions & film. There are skin creams, liquids, glitters, powders, water-based products, oil-based products, silicone products, fake eyelashes, fake scars, air brushing products, tattoo concealers, and more in *every* colour under the sun (neon, bright, pastel, every single skin tone, matte, glossy, opaque, translucent)! There are waterproof products that you can SWIM in or wear for days without coming off! And cleansers to easily & gently clean them off whenever you want! Adhesives for applying fake eyelashes, fake scars, or anything else you want to stick strongly onto your skin to survive a deluge of sweat & pouring water, yet can wash off with a gentle soap or cleanser! There are a range of prices so even people on a tight budget can find what they're looking for but the professional grade, high end, best quality or extreme waterproof products are expensive (which makes sense). I highly recommend shopping here for high quality, specialty products or make up/cosmetic products that you can't find anywhere else

I wasn't sure if I wanted to write this review but I think it's important to stand up for workers. I was there a few weeks ago and there's an older lady that works here whom I assumed to be the owner? Small, brown hair with glasses. Anyway, when I was there I heard her yelling at one of her staff and then I saw the girl come out of the back and she looked super uncomfortable. I left after that as I also felt uncomfortable and went to a different makeup/sfx store in Burnaby instead.

I love this store! The selection is great. The service is even greater. Steve is my usual go-to person. This man is a genius! Last time I went in he was off that day. The artist who helped me was just as great. She was able to look up my purchase history and help restock the regular items I needed. I would recommend to anyone!!!

I'm disgusted with how I was treated by Studio FX. My order was stolen from my mailbox. The post office, told me that it's still Studio FX's responsibility to file a claim, because their carrier shouldn't have delivered to an unsecured (wide open mailbox)I didn't think it was fair to Studio FX, so I told them I would file a police report for the theft, and try to get reimbursed via small claims. As part of the report, I was asked for a description of the parcel. I reached out to Studio FX, for the parcel's description (because investigators have to review the video footage) Studio FX didn't bother to respond.

Absolutely Loved my experience, shopping at this store!! They were so helpful, knowledgeable, and cared about my specific needs. I would definitely shop with them again!! There was never any pressure to buy things.. I was treated very well, the store was clean, well lit, and took all of the necessary precautions to keep both the staff as well as their patrons safe from Covid-19.If I could give them a 10 star rating, I would!!

The people there were so sweet and they were not trying to persuade me to buy anything. They had almost everything I needed. The only thing I couldn’t get is the correct size of scar wax since they ran out just a few minutes ago which wasn’t much of a problem since I’m a beginner. It has products for monsters, gore, glam, etc. It also has stuff for beginners and professionals, they also were telling me about a new program but when I said I probably wasn’t in the age limit they said there was a 9 year old that wanted to join too. Excellent service and products! Totally recommend!

Great selection of quality make up. Have a variety of costuming and special effects make up. Low end to high end. Very helpful with what you'll need if you ask. Been going to for over 15 years for my various cosplay needs. Have used some of their make up for daily use as well (as they have a large range of colours from the super pale to heavily pigmented person). Definitely would recommend.

The only place to find a huge selection of Ben Nye makeup in Vancouver! Super helpful staff, they have a little bit of everything for special effects makeup.

Came to the store looking for a particular item and unfortunately it wasn’t available (due to manufacturing issue not the store) but the two store clerks were so friendly & helpful in finding me find an alternative product and the necessary extras that were required and really saved the day!

I stopped in today to purchase a couple hard to find items and had such a nice experience in store. The two women who were working and gave me a hand were so helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable about the products. I will definitely be back!
