Don't work for them they don't pay. It's been months and all I get is it's up to accounting, then accounting ...it's up to invoicing.... then invoicing, it's up to approval team. Approval team, it's up to accounting. Horrible outfit.

Just had an interview with two senior staff members from Chandos , regarding a potential carpentry foreman or lead hand position. I almost didn't attend after reading some negative reviews online. I'm sure glad I went as the experience of talking to these two professionals reminded me of the importance of a face to face meeting and that online reviews are definitely not a true measure of a company's integrity and core values, that comes from the people that work there and these two gentlemen appearing genuine in every regard, presented a picture of an organization that cares about it's people, that appreciates and recognizes dedication and quality workmanship. They made a normally high-stress interview seem more like an enlightening discussion amongst friends. It's impossible for a large organization to please everybody all the time. Every organization has its flaws and it's imrotant to remember that it is in a company's best interests to treat people fairly and with good intention. Speaking for myself, I'm much more likely to bend over backwards for an employer if I feel that my efforts are appreciated and valued. I think you'd be hardpressed to find a company that doesn't agree with that. I was in danger of letting online reviews shape my opinion of a company before I even met with them. I hope this review helps others avoid that as well. I may not get the job but I know I've benefitted from the meeting...Nowadays, in my experience as a contractor, I find that many people expect a company to reward them just becuase they work there when really it's about earning it, an employee that goes above and beyond what is simply expected of him in his position consistently earns recognition.

Can't imagine a better company to work for! If your looking for meaningful employment where you are valued for everything you do drop a resume!
