Indemnisation des victimes d’actes criminels (IVAC)

If I could put 0 stars I would. HORRIBLE service that is supposed to help victims but there is ZERO accountability here. Terrible service that needs serious reform

I made my application in December 2022 and had a phone call mid January 2023. The woman who called had a few questions to ask me. First, she made me describe the violence that I experienced, again, even though it was clearly on my application. She then asked me the location and denied my application based on the location. I felt it was absolutely disgusting of this person to make me describe in detail, horrible and traumatic memories to a complete stranger over the phone.. The questions she asked me in regards to what happened were not empathetic and felt victim blaming.. She came across as though I was making up lies. All this to only end up my denying my application based on a question she already clearly had the answer to on my application. I have been struggling even more since this phone call, it was a major triggering event for me. I would never recommend this service to anyone who is struggling with PTSD following domestic violence. Along with all the stigma that we already have to deal with as survivors, we then have to deal with a horrendous lack of empathy from the one organisation that WE PAY to be there for us.

I submitted a demand in February 2023 asking IVAC to contact Le Procureur de la République, Tribunal de Paris, who has all my documents (confidential) and could explain with the right terms what happened to me (I am a way too tired to explain anything properly). A few weeks later, I received a later from IVAC stating they would study my demand of qualification. I thought : Great

Don't even bother .

there was a long wait time but in the end they helped me.

Don't bother!! Its a scam!! Don't do this alone it's a front led by our government! Only way of winning against IVAC is getting a consultant lawyers they will get you what you deserve

Terrible service. They have no empathy or compassion. Not to mention rude. They never find your papers if faxed or if sent. You constantly have to resend. Its long!

If I could I would give them -5 they are a bunch of disgusting thieves. L’ivac should be closed down it is useless really. Their goal seems to make people wait for years and suffer and then tell them the will not give them anything. My dad is a taxi driver and was stabbed by two thieves. His credit card were stolen and used. He was traumatized by the event and he could not work and got in debt. The agent in charge of his file was constantly calling while he was trying heal and rest. The first time she called and he could not come to the phone she asked my mom if he wants his file to be taken care of or not. The way I see it is that the people working for l’ivac Are unqualified, disrespectful and the government needs to intervene and close it down because they are not fulfilling their mission. This is another mismanagement of our taxes.

Je suis tellement heureuse de ce service. C’est vrai qu’il y a parfois des délais d’attente mais je bénéficie totalement de l’aide qui est offerte.C’est dommage de savoir que le service soit insatisfaisant pour un si grand nombre de personnes.Merci Ivac !
