I had seen all these ads online on Facebook claiming to be able to help you with your debt and consolidate. I had my doubts about them all, and after speaking with a bankruptcy trustee, that was definitely reputable. They told me to call credit counselling society because I could trust everywhere they said, and that they would steer me in the right direction.. 100% satisfied with the advice that they gave me definitely a life changer!

It is worse agency I ever had and there is suppose to have more supports but it is not fully access to certain people. They added more money such as paying more than what you are paying to actual debt. If you decide to use this agency, you end up paying one or two more years than what you are actually owing to whatever you are supposed to pay.

Totally agree I wish I went to them sooner although we feel the way we do in our situations we are still people who just get in bad situations due to economics changes, but to suffer the stress of trying to go it alone is not good. Although a hard lesson to learn they remind us we are respected and understood with NO judgements no money can replace that time speaking to the society. I havent felt that relieved in years you will know what I mean please don't wait call them Bill

Natasha was nice and seemed experienced. However, a month after we signed the papers, we found out that they had not contacted a single credit card company as Natasha was on holidays. On top of it, they called us back as they missed a couple of cards and wanted to refigure everything. We were not making anymore payments as Natasha told us not too. The credit card companies have started to call again. We are not happy at all. Oh, they also did not tell us where to find them. You cannot contact anyone. We always have to leave a message. They have never called us back.As to the reply, we called Natasha's line, all it said was that she will be back on the 3rd of September. We contacted Darcy and have cancelled with them. We will be trying Creditaid instead.

This is a very supportive group and more people should know about what they do and how they can help. Late 2022, news programs did a lot of reporting on credit issues Canadians are having now ... several mentioned this non-profit service ... so glad i heard them!

If you are deep in debt, call these people without delay. If you don't, you might become a victim of unscrupulous debt collectors who will try to make you their slave forever.

The advice given to me by Darlene was extremely valuable and she helped me understand options. I was very happy getting all these answers. Whether I end up using their services or not I would recommend ppl visit this place first to get a clear understanding of the direction they want to take. Based on the consultation alone I'd have strong evidentiary faith in their services.

Very professional and non-judgmental. They are there to help you understand all the options and choose the one that fits your goals and situation the best. I left feeling empowered financially. It is reassuring to know there are places that are there to help and not to take advantage of you when you’re down.

I had a positive experience with this association. By helping me find a way to manage my debt with the least amount of impact on my credit, I was able to become financially stable within a year. They help you learn that there is a way to live comfortably without relying on credit. My only issue was that I kept getting a different counselor for some unknown reason and I didn't always find out until I called to talk to the counselor.

Wish I had made the decision to work with them earlier. The lady who helped me in Winnipeg was super helpful and empathetic to my situation. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.
