Bluebird Permaculture Farm

I am specifically reviewing just one of the services which Bluebird Permaculture Farm offers (although all of their services are great). Bluebird is offering to provide temporary camping sites for Environmentally Sensitive people. It is very rare to find anyone offering this sort of thing for Environmentally Sensitive people and we should all be very grateful. Leaf and Shawna are warm generous people who will try their best to make your stay as health and rejuvinating as possible. Every place in the world has some potential allergens and you can count on Leaf and Shawna to give you honest answers about what is and is not present at their place. What more can anyone realistically ask for? I have been to the farm several times and in my experience the level of Chemical Allergens is very low. It is a farm with animals so you will not be surprised to learn that many places on the farm smell like animals! But that does not mean you will have allergy problems as a result (that will depend on your particular health issues). I wish you all the best during your stay at Bluebird Permaculture Farm!

This wonderful farm is run by the most wonderful family! Shawna and Leaf are so passionate and knowledgeable when it comes to the most sustainable and healthy production of food. Their animals are lovingly cared for and their produce so unique, flavourful and nourishing. They have expanded their offerings over the years to include teas, herbs, tinctures, mushrooms, local artisan and personal art to name just a few. It is such a treat to visit and see what is in store at their shop each time I go. Learning about sustainable farming practices, permaculture and soil health has been a real treat to receive from these two special folks in chatting and getting to know them over the years. What you guys are creating here can change the world! I cannot wait for my next visit and experience at your little piece of heaven!

Shawna and Leaf have created a little piece of heaven on earth. The farm isn't just an amazing sanctuary, but also a haven for healthy food. The knowledge that exudes from their set-up is incredible! I come every week - and look forward to every second spent here.

My partner and I spent 5 days helping out at this amazing farm and we lack the words to express how grateful we are for our experience there! We got to spend time with Leaf and Shawna’s beautiful family and they took the time to explain some of the many permaculture concepts they put into action on this farm that is truly FULL of life (we counted over 50 different species of animals on the farm - domestic and wild). They are a very generous and loving family and Shawna’s cooking was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. In our opinion, the methods of farming practiced here are key to a more sustainable future. We highly recommend visiting Bluebird Permaculture Farm if you’re interested in purchasing delicious, ethically grown and local food and learning about alternatives to industrial farming that regenerate and bring diversity of life back to the land.
