He puts forth so much effort into teaching his lessons, goes with the plan and he works hard to instill a high level of confidence, giving continuous feedback on paper, developing skill level into students. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient, confident, and just an all around great guy. I have to thank Gary, for giving me the skills, knowledge, encouragment, and confidence to pass my Class 5 road test today on the first attempt. I signed up with Freeway driving academy for lessons as well as the road test. Gary was my instructor. I started the first lesson as a complete beginner when it came to driving, but was pleasantly surprised with the progress I made with each lesson. Gary was very patient, knowledgeable,right attitude and attentive with me and taught me everything there is to know. I was so nervous approaching the road test, however because of being set up for success, I passed! I now have my license and couldn't be more thankful and happy with my experience! I highly recommend them to anyone who is new to driving, or simply wants to brush up on their skills.

I had an amazing experience learning to drive with Gary, who is an excellent driving instructor. He was patient, kind, and helped me pass my N road test in a FIRST attempt!!When I first started, I didn't know anything about driving. I was nervous and unsure about how to begin. But Gary made me feel comfortable right from the start. He understood that everyone learns at their own pace, including me. He took the time to explain things clearly and never made me feel bad for asking questions or making mistakes during leaning phase. He gave me helpful feedback after each lesson, telling me what I did well and where I could improve!He taught me everything I needed to know to drive safely. I struggled with parallel and reverse parking but by following Gary’s tips I was able to do so! He showed me step-by-step how to do it and gave me useful tips.If you're a beginner like me and want to learn how to drive with someone patient, knowledgeable, and friendly, I highly recommend Gary.

Highly recommended to everyone taking road test in Greater Vancouver area!I had training before with other school and failed the class 5 test. Then I book the package with Freeway Driving Academy to take road test in Burnaby.I was lucky to have lessons with instructor: Gary. He has good knowledge, skills, different style and technique to teach, he is patient, polite, not mad at you if you did something wrong, and encourage you to be confident and do your best.Instructor would provide a details on paper, notes in lesson.He is using Toyota Corolla 2016 (having back up camera) so it would be great for practice and take the test with instructor's car.Passed the road test was great but I'm also more confident in driving in real life after the training.
