This used to be a.Sa-von food some years back. Now it's PriceSmart and very Asian influenced. There are a lot of prepared items so it's popular during lunch hour. It has a Chinese deli selling BBQ ducks and Pork; right next to a dim sum counter. They offer traditional Western grocery items also. They bakery bakes some of its own bread.

WE WERE SCAMMED!So we bought 2 zhong’s (lotus leaf glutinous rice). We looked for the label and chose the flavor we wanted (Green bean rice wrap with salted egg yolk).We got home and steamed them. When we opened them up, BOTH were wrong! Look at the picture attached. But one was totally off and was a sweet red bean filling!Price Mart- contact your vendor (Chef Tony) and get your act together.

Ground pork has been made from pork meat injected with lots of water:I purchased a pound of ground pork from PriceSmart a few weeks ago, after putting the ground pork into a freezer for a few days, and then I took it out yesterday, during the defrosting process, it was noticed that there was a lot of water coming out of the ground pork. and the ground pork shrank a lot after it was being cooked to only half of the meat mass. It is obviously that staff at PriceSmart meat department injected lots of water into the pork meat used to make ground pork to increase the ground meat weight when it went on the scale. This is a common weight cheating practice in some developing country. I am sad to see that it is now being used in PriceSmart Richmond, BC location.

Worst grocery store in Richmond. Staff are incompetent and they won't acknowledge their own promotions. Go to Superstore instead, they do it better.

Ordered their while roasted pig for a party. The skins were not as crispy and crunchy as other bbq restaurants, but a little hard over all it's not bad. Stuff were very helpful when placing the order. Need to order 2 to 3 days in advance.

This is really a huge Asian supermarket. They have a nice takeaway section with dim sum, sushi rolls and other dishes prepared fresh every morning. I tried their bao and it is very nice!

Always enjoy buying groceries here! Great price, selections (wide range of both western and asian's). Extra points to great music (sometimes they play the classic pops) and awwwwwesome festive decorations!

Young Asian Employee named Aaron at cashier is the rudest ever. He would throw products at you after scanning, instead of gently placing it. I believe he works during afternoon hours.And theres a young female Indian employee who threw checkout divider at the rubber strip in counter. Who then tells my wife “hey can you put the thing in correct position?” At this extreme time of covid. My wife had to touch the filthy checkout divider.The place itself is not bad. In fact its big and has alot of stuff. But the workers are rude and horrible. I dont think this place cares about quality of their workers at all.

Nice grocery place with limited variety of products and expensive by 15-20%. The Chinese lady attending to self-pay is rude (May 12 @ 11 am). Please be respectful to shoppers. Washroom is not clean.

Absolutely terrible service. Around noon today, I visited the seafood section of Price Smart. The customer service representative called Simon hand-picked some prawns for the previous customer. However, when it was my turn, he just scooped up 3 pounds for me. When I got home, I realized the prawns are rotten and stinky! It stinked up my entire kitchen. We cannot eat any of it. If they already know that there is something wrong with the prawns, why would they want to sell it in the first place? Terrible.
