Interesting and beautiful drive to arrive in Gold River. This chalet welcomed us as if we knew each other for years. Had an enjoyable stay, clean rooms, formidable nature on Vancouver island.

Mattress was noisy. Double size sheet on Queen bed. TV didnt work. Very clean. Thought it was a kitchenette and but had only a bar fridge. Continental breakfast was pretty skimpyManager/owner was very friendly and wanting to assist. With all that I would not recommend. However there are only two other motels in Gold River.

Comfortable older hotel, amazing staff who treat you like family. A cute lending library and great selection of board and card games. Everything was clean and well maintained. Wifi everywhere in hotel so you can finally use your smart phone! (No cell service in town) Standard continental breakfast was well stocked. Very comfy bed. Incredible views. Cinder block walls means it was very quiet. Excellent choice in this beautiful small community.

Lana is the perfect hostess, made you feel welcome as soon as you walked in the door. Very knowledgeable about the town. It is an older hotel with less amenities but a great host, central location, clean, would definitely stay again.

I spent a night here for a work trip as a radio freelancer.I could not have asked for a cozier experience -- the room/bathroom/bed was very clean. The wifi was good enough for me to do my work slash watch some videos. The staff was very accommodating with an extended checkout, me using their printer and local hike reccoendations. The breakfast is a light continental breakfast including some cereal, toast, coffee, and juice. There is also a nice lending library and a dozen boardgames for families. Pricewise, I visited two other hotels and gold river chalet was slightly more affordable so that was a plus.Thank you for a great experience!

I travel a lot around the island for work. I stay at nice, updated hotels.This was my first time in gold river for work, and I had to choose between two places to stay. I chose this one.The gentleman at the desk was pleasant, and accommodated me requesting a detailed receipt.The hotel is visually dated, but very clean, and not worn. I loved it. There was a beauty to it.I'm staying again.

Front desk attendant was very friendly and informative. Very hospitable and made us feel right at home. The hospitality room is a lovely addition to this gem of a place, fully stocked with microwave, plates, glasses, coffee/tea whenever you like; plates/cutlery provided and it's open all day/night, and because of this there is a lovely aroma of coffee that fills the halls in the morning. Rooms were very cozy and the bed's were very comfortable. The WIFI was strong the entire time, showers had great water pressure and the building was so peaceful and quiet. We will definitely be staying here again!

Very cozy motel, the staff was very friendly, we had minor check-in issues as they had recorded my name incorrectly, but it was sorted out quickly. This is located in the perfect location for out of towners as it is right near the center of town.Only complaint is that Gold River has zero cell service and the WiFi in the motel is spotty most of the time, best connection time is in the morning.
