Acts for Water (Acts - Africa Community Technical Service Society)

Small team, huge impact. I love that Acts focuses on one thing (safe drinking water) and works closely with local Ugandans to make it happen in a sustainable way.

A good team, doing great work!This charity has a very personable team who genuinely appreciates all their supporters (ie; hand written letters, personal follow up calls). They are truly passionate about the work they are doing to bring sustainable water to these communities, building relationships, developing local skill, and putting people first. They go the extra mile.

This group does a stellar job bringing clean water and sanitary toilets to communities in Uganda. Well run. I am proud to be a monthly donor.

I volunteered 7 different times with ACTS, in Uganda, between the years 2004-2015. I was there each time for anywhere from 5-12 weeks. I can say with 100% confidence that ACTS is a great NGO that works with and for the people of Uganda to bring them the things that are important - water, health, and life. The monies that are donated are used wisely with only minimal amounts used for administrative expenses. I have not met one of the Ugandan team that is not committed wholeheartedly to seeing the improvement of their own people and seeing lives improved and even saved. I will always remember my times with this organization and will always recommend them and their work.

Acts for Water provides something that for most of us in the developed world take for granted.... accessible clean water. They do it the right" way by involving and partnering with the local community in Uganda so that they take ownership of the water system. I have been involved with many projects in the "majority" world and have witnessed both successful and failed projects. Failed projects typically don't involve the local community....they fail because "we" (the developed world) think this is what will work. Successful projects always involve the local community. Acts for Water has been successful because they always involve the local community."

they care for people they... they bring water to people & above all theythey allow children to be children along with staying in school & then these children become leaders in their own community thus rekindling the need to grow & prosper within their own country & above all give back... what more can you ask for... thus BELIEVE...
