Dollarama

In my opinion, dollar stores should no longer be called dollar stores. You will be hard put to find an actual $1 product. Store is fairly well cleaned considering the sheer volume of shoppers in and out on an average day. I have to say the aisles in this store are on the verge of being claustrophobic. Getting around in this store in a wheelchair is not an easy task. By the time I am finished shopping in this store I am usually frazzled. The music is too loud. There are posts in the middle of the walkway which make navigating difficult. I have gotten my fingers and hands pinched many times in this store just trying to squeeze past the posts. Employees are typically not very friendly. As a customer in this store I feel as if I am considered a nuisance.

Terrible customer service.The old bald cashier with glasses refused to ring up my bag of chips and a candy bar and adamantly kept trying to get me to go to the self checkout when they were all full as I came to his cash register.When I finally got him to scan my items he asks if I need a bag I answer “Yes” then he just walks off... so I had to call him to come back so he can get me a bag to his surprise because his memory is so bad he doesn’t remember me saying I want a bag. He then rudely grabs a bag and smacks it on the table. To my disgust I asked a different employee for a bag who actually opened it and packed my items inside.If you don’t want to serve customers why are you working in customer service? The manager of this place doesn’t care about treating people with respect.Refused to give me his name, says his name is Bob.I can’t say I’m surprised. You never get good customer service with these people.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Worst service this evening. I have a basket full of items and asked for a cashiers help scanning them through. Was rudely informed by the apparent manager I had to use self checkout myself and that the staff had other things to do. I'm sorry but customer service should be priority. I run my own store and I know that there are other tasks that need to be accomished throughout the day but when a customer asks for help im failing to see why you would not help out that customer. After all without customers there would be no paychecks.

Almost always able to find what I'm looking for. Staff generally helpful and knowledgeable. Manager Josh is an asset to the store!

Store you gotta check out good for those on fixated budget Sell alot of the same brand names you can purchase in grocery store etc for cheaper price they should expand add freezer produce section baked items dollars stores sell everything from snacks to laundry detergent pasta cleaning supplies bread small house items hats mitts socks personal hygiene items canned boxed food toilet paper Kleenex tea/ hand towels toys party supplies school supplies small storage bins and baskets artificial flowers and arrangements, picture frames the list goes on

Lovely place with diverse items. Sometimes they miss items that can be found in other branches, not to compare to St. Laurent Dollarama though.

Alot of price hikes and almost no one at the cashes, most of the time you have to use the self check out and it messes up and then you have to wait for a person to come put a code and their finger print in to fix the issue... not fun

Great products and location, but that's about it. Messy floors and shelves, management staff that do almost nothing, security guard that just stands at the entrance not paying attention to anything except for their phone, staff complaining more than the customers. If I could rate it in the negatives, I would. It's a living HELL, literally...EDIT: I have been to most of the other dollarama locations in Ottawa and surrounding areas, and this one has definitely been the worst one to interact with the staff. I went there today just to see if anything has changed and one of the staff was parading a theif" around the store a kicked them out

Apperently customers have to work for free for a massive corporation in order to shop here. Went to the cast and was told they are now self check out only. Not coming back to this store.

The security guard there stopped me at the end of an aisle and stared at my coat pocket. When I asked him if there was a problem he said Just doing my job
