Paul Mullen and team deserves 10 stars if I could give them. Unlike other electricians who will sell you a generator but fail to repair it Paul and his team can make repairs where others will try to sell you a new generator as he is a trained Generac technician. Don’t waste your money with others. Get the best deal and Service with this outfit. A rare find these days.

Paul and Bill Mullan (and team) installed a new generac system for me almost 2 years ago now.The install was an excellent experience. We were very happy with Paul and his crew for organizing and installing our Generac Generator at our cottage. His coordination of different people coming in to do the hook up, inspections, and installation was excellent. We highly recommend them to anyone looking to install a generator.

Paul Mullen came to our home in Coldwater last December 2020 and agreed to install a generac stand by generator for us,he showed up a month later and installed the transfer switch gear to our home and had hydro disconnected for this purpose, he said that he was having problems with supply of generators but assured us that if we PAID for the work that had been done so far, he would be back in a week to finish the job at the agreed price.After numerous calls and shallow promises 11 months later we still do not have one installed by TOTAL GENERATOR in desperation and the thought of future power outages I told him that we could wait no longer and was letting off the hook? I contacted another company in Barrie only to find that the supposed shortage of supply was not the case. I was able to have a larger generator installed within a week of calling at aproximatley the same price as Paul Mullen and I had agreed on. I would caution anybody that is contemplating dealing with this company not to pay for any part of the contract until all work is complete. Paul Mullen does not deal in good faith and his word does not mean anything,shame on him and his company Total Generator" for stringing their customers along for such an unreasonable length of time. His mailbox is full which does not surprise me as I am sure that there must be others out there that are in the same boat as we were. Let the buyer be ware. If I could give this company a minus star rating I would have.I would be happy to share the e-mail conversations and promisses that were made over the past year with anyone that disputes this review and you can decide for yourself.Dave"

Our power went out this morning and our 2 year old generator switched on as expected. However, we noticed it was running rough based on how it sounded. I called Paul to arrange to have it looked at and within 30 minutes Bill was onsite and quickly fixed the problem. He even gave it a once over to ensure everything was ok and oil level was good. Top tier fast and friendly service! I highly recommend Total Generator to anyone who is thinking of getting a standby generator.

Paul and his crew did an excellent job, a pleasure to work with. Always answered calls, even after hours. Would recommend these guys to anyone looking for a generator install. And the electrician can sure sing too!

Paul Mullen was easy to work with, aways responds promptly and was able to deliver the generator we needed even in these times of tight supply. Installed on date promised with all logistics and permits closed the same day. Fair pricing.

I am not sure whether the owner of Total Generator is incompetent or just misleading for the fun of it. They installed my Generac generator three years ago and now it is due for a service. I have contacted Paul Mullen on three occasions over the last two months , speaking on the phone, and each time he have confirmed my address and set a date for the service work. No one has ever arrived. When I asked what the problem was, he stated that he didn’t understand why no one showed up. He would then confirm another date……and no one would show up. It is a game that I am not willing to play any longer.

Paul did a good job initially ...the support for the 12 units purchased has been non-existent last two year ..... Does not return call and will not respond to maintenance and service request . Had to find other option to support the units. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AT ALL..... Paul I had called you for 1 1\2 yrs and texted .......not one response to ME!!! The 4 times you TOLD DAN you were coming out to service us ......YOU NEVER SHOWED UP ....ONE BLANK SCREEN....T1 WIRING NOT DONE RIGHT so battery wasn't charging under operation ..... ONE WITH Battery Problem indicator ... for 1 1/2 yrs !!!! YOU NEVER RESPONDED OR SHOWED UP!!! .....BTW its me servicing the units now ...

Had an issue with my Generac from last nights wind storm. I called around and nobody answered the phones anywhere, except these guys! I couldn't find my keys and they gave me a free set of keys to my Generac. They stepped me through the process and I easily got my Generac back up and running. Unbelievable. Most companies wouldn't waste their time and would charge. You just don't see service and friendliness like this anymore. They are my new go to for Generac service and sales.
