This is a beautiful walking trail that's plenty wide enough for multiple people to pass each other. If you know where to go there's a nice swim spot that's a few kilometers down the trail near pine Island that's never busy because it's quite a walk.Bikers be warned, the hill is very long and very steep

This trail in the NCC Gatineau Park is easily accessible from Exit 21 on Hwy. 5. The parking lot is about 1km from the covered bridge and it makes a nice hike with some interesting interpretive plaques along the way (in English and French). It’s very picturesque. The hike towards the Gatineau trails is very nice with a lovely waterfall/stream beside the trail, leads to a number of lovely pathways including one to the Top of Meech Lake for a beautiful view and rest stop (with a small bench). The hike up is quite hilly and steep at spots, but the trail is wide and well marked. A real gem.

A gravel parking lot. You can park here. Free. Any car, any time. this is not near anything so odds are good you drove here and will need to park. This is where you would do that.

I work there, nice place in both winter and summer. It is to know that hiking during the winter is not allowed as the gatineau park prepares a trail made for skiing only.

Possibly the most scenic parking lot in the Gatineau Park with the exception of the Champlain and Etienne Brulee lookouts. You get a sweeping view of the fields of Meech Valley and the hills that rise to the west. The covered bridge is close by and there are interesting signs and markers indicating some historical aspects along Cross Loop.
