Two nights in a superior lake view room. Check-in was efficient and friendly, I was able to get room at 3 pm. Could have asked if was my first time and offered information. I had to ask for a map of the resort. The room was lovely, bed comfy, wet bar, dishes. Balcony view was disappointing, railing bar at eye level and lake is mostly obscured by trees. Infinity pool is heated, not to my liking on a hot day. The beach is a bit of a walk away from the resort, back along the main drive but very nice. Shallow and clean. Option of covered and open lounge chairs. Views from the docks and beach is wonderful. Dining room service very good however food at the price, I expected better, was just average. My biggest concern is access - steep stairs to the room. Some pathways have inclines but are well maintained gravel. Planned to bring my mother for a future stay but can’t due to the access issues. Overall, the 3 star rating is accurate. I enjoyed my stay.

The location is amazing. We had the 2 bed suite overlooking the lake. The rooms were well maintained. The only let down was the breakfast which took away the 5 star rating.

First want to start by saying we really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful, stylish and comfortable room/bed - We slept so good. It was cleaned well, full kitchen with all the dishes you'd need and an amazing, relaxing view. Great amenities and great property. The vibe is just really nice.I do have some feedback to share though that I think would help with the overall customer experience. The ambiance is great outside with the dim, yellow lighting... Very romantic and relaxing. However, the parking lots are just too dark. I saw many people walking elbows linked as the lot was slippery and too dark to see where you're going. Our room was on the ground floor - There was no lighting in the hallway to our door and there was no peep hole or chain lock for the door either which was very inconvenient as I thought I heard the door being knocked a couple times in the morning. For security and safety I would recommend looking into a solution for this. The shower wouldn't drain while in use so you'd just be standing in a big soapy puddle the whole time. The stream of the head was so spread out and so thin that it was very hard to actually wash up and no matter how I redirected the shower head, it always ended up with a lot of water spraying out of the shower onto the floor. Also, if advertised as a 4 season RESORT (with spa), there should probably be slippers and robes available (even for a small additional cost). We did receive small towels for the hottub but it didn't do much since we had to walk outside to get back to the room.We live 4 hours away but if we ever made it back to the area, we probably would stay here again but keeping the above in mind and being prepared just in case we were to be met with the same situations.

Old run down place and not worth the price. Our experience was very disappointing, the property is run down, restaurant is run down, it closes at 9pm, there's no music or entertainment, rooms are poorly kept, not clean and spider webs and dead insects everywhere, moldy boards. There is no proper breakfast offered, no hot breakfast option that you can pay for, the continental" breakfast is a joke very cheep low quality pale pastries and that's it

Far from what I would deem a resort. Website is misleading and somewhat deceiving - rooms are very small, suites are a good size and really the only acceptable option to consider if staying more than a night. Complex is still under a lot of construction so be prepared for noise and dust/dirt everywhere. On-site restaurant operates under limited hours which can be inconvenient at times. Units are clean and adequate supplies are provided. Internet is great at times and poor at other times.Cell signal is pretty strong in that area. Somethings seem dated and worn. I would suggest bringing bottle watered to drink/cook with. Close by to Port Carling and Bracebridge which pretty much have everything you might need to go buy.

Firstly, the beaches and floating dock areas are divine! Now here's what we wish we had known before arriving. The rooms are beyond dirty. Essentially, we would plan to either bring our own housekeeper on our next vacation or pre-book a maid service from in town to do a deep clean of our suite upon check in. Baseboards haven't been cleaned I'd estimate in a year. Floors are sticky. There was food left in the sink which caused fruit flies everywhere. The worst part was the toilet. I contracted a bad cough while I was there and question whether it was because of the dirt or lack of cleaning. Knowing what we know now, we're still tempted to go back provided we make adjustments to allow for our own cleaning service. We had such a relaxing time on the lake and all of other guests we met were so nice. If you just factor in the time and expense of hiring an outside maid service to clean your suite before you unpack, it's a great spot. I'm not sure but the cleaning problem may also be due to the fact that this seems to be more of a timeshare than a regular resort. It's possible the investors rent out their suites without paying a cleaning service - it would be nice if the guests knew about this arrangement beforehand. We didn't see one maid cart" while we were there...suspecting there is absolutely no housekeeping staff whatsoever. This is the new normal. It's nobody's fault."

We just got here and I immediately needed to write a review because WOW!!! This place is INCREDIBLE. This is the ultimate Muskoka experience - gorgeous views, incredible decor and amenities. Can’t wait for this weekend - highly recommend!! The service has also been fabulous!

They placed us overlooking the beach - which is on a completely different side of the property than the pictures. It's deceptive - especially for the price we paid. The blonde receptionist couldn't have been any more rude. When we mentioned we didn't pay for the beach view, she did not allow us to speak to a manager, and said we can leave her property".To top it off

We visited touchstone this past weekend for a quick spa getaway. The spa services were relaxing, and enjoyable, and the spa staff were very kind and attentive. Betty, the spa receptionist, was delightful. We enjoyed time in the hot tub as well as both sauna and steam room between our treatments and really enjoyed the view from the hot tub.Our room, overall was good, however, it was apparent that the cleaning routine wasn’t the best. Walls and baseboards looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time, the fan in our room was covered in dust, so we avoided turning it on so dust wouldn’t get all over the bed. The carpets were quite stained in some areas and the bed had quite a sag in it.The porch area was very nice, and the views couldn’t be beat.Overall it was a good stay, but I’d hope for better upkeep/ cleanliness of the rooms.
