I’ve never felt as appreciated or respected by an employer! Anne has an absolutely amazing manner and is a complete pleasure to deal with, as are all the team. I would, happily recommend alternacare to anyone! Having just started my nursing career in Canada after coming from Ireland I have felt so supported by this entire team!

I have been proud to work for Alternacare since 2019. It's been an incredibly rewarding experience so far and I've enjoyed it very much. It's given me the opportunity to make a meaningful and long-lasting impact in the lives of others. It's also exposed me to a wide range of people coming from various walks of life, ultimately broadening my world views. If you're interested in healthcare it's an excellent way of gaining clinical experience as you'll get to see the inner-workings of various healthcare institutions. The hours are flexible and if you run into any issues you can call or email the staff and they respond very quickly to resolve any problems you have. Overall my experience has been overwhelmingly positive and every day I go work I feel a strong sense of excitement and privilege.The staff are absolutely top notch. It's very clear they're passionate about their work, and that they care deeply for their fellow staff and their clients. In addition to being very accommodating to your needs, they're all very polite and professional. During my years with this company, every single interaction I've had with the staff has been positive. They hold their core values of compassion, integrity, dignity and independence very close to their heart. Special shoutout to Anne Cote and John Roger, both of whom have made my time with Alternacare amazing! It's a great company to work for and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Alternacare is a wonderful agency! The staff are all very friendly and understanding. Such as when I can’t take a shift because of a previous commitment or for religious reasons. I would highly recommend using Alternacare for services or working for them!

Alternacare health care time has been very helpful. I have been with this agency for 6 years in the half with this company. Staff are very kind and helpful. I hope one day they will have full time hours as patient sitter, because I like working with them. I recommend people to apply for this agency. Is very good company.

We were required to find 24 hours per day/7 days per week care for my father at his retirement residence on a very short notice. Anne was very compassionate and efficient, quickly arranging for personal care workers to supervise my father. For the most part we did not observe the team in action. However, from those we observed, most engaged my father in conversation and ensured that he was well taken care of. There were a few team members who were learning English and/or had strong accents, so it was difficult for my father to understand what they were saying, especially with his dementia. They were very kind and made a strong effort to engage him in conversation. I was most impressed on two specific instances. One was when a team member was unable to attend one of the sessions. Without worry to us, a replacement was found. On a second instance, while packing up my father's room to move him to a long term care facility, a team member helped with packing boxes. I would have given 5 stars, but some of the team members did not make as great an effort to engage my father in conversation as others. The cost was very high, but it was comparable to other companies and Alternacare could provide full day and night supervision. I would recommend them.

I currently work with Alternacare and they are an amazing company. Management is always very friendly in every encounter I’ve had and they are very accommodating of my school schedule. Would definitely recommend working here:)

I work as a casual RN, and Alternacare does an excellent job of fostering a healthy work-life balance. Alternacare is a wonderful agency to work for. The recruitment team was exceptionally nice and welcoming. The management is wonderful, very kind, appreciative and professional and they are always happy to answer any questions I have about job placements. They were very informative and made sure I had a proper orientation to do this job. They will give you available shifts ahead of time to choose from and they are considerate of your time and availability. The office staffs were always willing to assist and support me if I need anything, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time here.I highly recommend this agency, the pay rate is competitive too, It has been an amazing experience to be part of Alternacare.
