A few photos for reference. The one at the aquarium was my hair before.I went to see Sydney today and she did an amazing job! I have never ever had my hair cut professionally. Either family or myself have cut my own hair as growing up my mom told me how hard it is to find someone who can do it properly.I wanted something new and wanted to give some life to my hair and I’m so happy with what Sydney was able to do! My hair has never been this curly!! It’s beautiful.I recommend curly hair girls go see her. There are a few curly hair specialists at Refinery House from what I’ve heard!Thank you so much Sydney!

I have to say I’m not one to leave reviews normally but Chastity (I hope I spelled her name right) was new to the salon and had just finished school. She did so so amazing. I felt honoured to be her first real client. She took her time, did an amazing job with the wash (great massage!) and listened to exactly what I wanted. I would come back anytime for a trim or more because I trust Chastity with my hair. Keep it up sister ❤️

Although my stylist was a really nice person, the service was extortionate. I requested colourful permanent highlights which faded and turned brassy after one wash I feel like semi permanent was used on my hair but I'm unsure of that (I wash my hair infrequently and with colour friendly shampoo) the conversation leading up to the appointment along with agreed upon price was around $200 with wiggle room" which I was fine with paying because I had a vision that I was hoping to be met although the pricing isn't upfront as the website said $155 for a junior stylist. When they range me up at $260 I was surprised how could the highlights cost that much for what they were and the fact that they faded really quickly amazes me and to be quick honest was embarrassed that I had budgeted for $200 and scrambled to pay the remainder. Lack of transparency in pricing and a service that faded immediately

I’ve been here a few times and really appreciate the peaceful way each stylist approaches my hair. I’ve been in for haircuts, highlights, and brows. They do free fringe trims between long cuts which I also love!The salon is beautiful in design. They’ve got a text system that’s useful too.

Had a great experience with Maya at the Abbotsford salon! Great job on my highlights and hair cut, and super helpful in making suggestions/giving me direction when i was unsure about what i wanted. She made me feel super comfortable!

I went to Maya for a cut! She was so amazing and gave me a cut better than I had expected going in. She took her time to make sure it was perfect and communicated with me really well to make sure I was getting what I wanted! I recommend Refinery and Maya to anyone looking for a haircut. I will definitely be back!

Rhianna is seriously wonderful!She was so lovely and really cared about the health and integrity of my hair at every step. She made sure I was well informed and felt comfortable, and was happy to answer my many questions.She really restored my faith after a series of bad experiences and a complicated hair journey.My hair looks healthier and the color is perfect!Plus, the whole vibe of this salon is so welcoming and nice.I’m so happy! I had very frizzy curly hair and Kianna recommended that I do a Cezanne treatment. It turned out amazing and my hair is still curly but no frizz and way easier to style. Takes no time to dry now. Highly recommend Kianna and the Cezanne treatment. (The last photo -the one with my natural curl is about 2 months post-treatment)
