First Choice Haircutters

Booked an appointment for a Saturday afternoon. Didn't have any problem getting in on the time that was scheduled.While waiting for my time i watched one of the women tell some customers it was a 2 hour wait and another that he could get in next. Not sure the motive but seemed like they wanted to pick and choose who they served based on ease of service needing preformed.I asked for a #1 on the sides an a quarter of the length off the top. I have incredibly frizzy hair, almost fro like, so when I usually get a haircut the hair dresser uses some water to help see the length etc. The hair dressed I had decided to just do the whole haircut dry as a bone, no water or anything. Let's just say half way through I realized I had made a mistake. I'm not a confrontational guy and I can get over a bad hair cut (have lots of times) I just really thought I needed to write something this time.All said and done one side of my hair is still the length it was when I came in and the other side doesn't look great. Would not recommend getting a hair cut here if you are a male looking for a half decent fade and trim.

will admit that my first experience wasn’t the best, I had called and spoke to Jen the manager and she was super sweet, helpful and kind to try and resolve the situation. The two other hairstylists (Sara and Alexya) are kind and sweet and very understanding! Alexia was very kind and I actually had my babysitter call me in the middle of the appointment and alexya was very accommodating and helpful. very appreciative of the whole team!

The stylist I had clearly rushed through , didn't blend any of the sides of my hair, managed to miss the areas around my ears, squared the back off way too high, and didn't shaved the back of my neck. So now I have a high square with 2 big tufts of uncut hair in the back. Easily the worst hair cut I've ever had and I'll be wearing a hat for a few weeks.

I love going here!! Friendly staff and I always have Jen the manager do my colour and she always does a an awesome job and my hair is difficult to do as going grey but dark as well!! Always kind, courteous, professional and nothing too much trouble even if they are busy. An wonderful establishment ❤

I had a great experience here regardless of only one lady working and she is doing a GREAT job. If you want to get in you have to get there before 9am to get on the list, they don’t take appointments because they are so short staffed. She was stopping hair cutting to pick up the phone & attend to walk in customers. Imagine being the only person running a salon? I just got a haircut but I haven’t in a long time & had some anxiety about it - Jen was awesome. She did a great job & please remember to BE KIND. Hair salons are running on almost no staff. I recommend this place if you are a kind person :)

I have to say I am absolutely distraught right now. I went in to get a trim and my bangs shaped because I get married in 23 days. And somehow I've walked out with mullet. Now at first I didn't really notice and mind you. I got this haircut at 5:30 p.m. today and it is now 8:00 p.m.So, at first, I didn't notice the mullet shape of my hair, but having brushed it out and looked at it and thinking, back to the way, the hairdresser did my hair, I realize she basically cut off all the sides of my hair, giving me one of those new. Modern mullets that the punk rockers use. I am not like that. I am a flower child, if anything and I am, I'm absolutely devastated that I'm going to have a mullet on my wedding day.Instead of asking me questions and having a real look at the photos I showed or talking to me about what she was going to do. She just took a large chunks of my hair, held it up at an angle and cut from underneath. Cutting all of the length, out of my hair, I genuinely have no idea what to do, or how to fix this.!!!!!Would not recommend going here at all!!!!!

Walked in got my hair thined, and a neck clean up. The lady was amazing. Very professional, and did a great job on my hair. Also bought some product!!

Paid $24 for my son to have a 5 minute haircut where the worker states “Well that seems to be all I can do.”This is not to ridicule but to point out that if you have a child that is sensitive to getting their haircut do not waste your time at this specific establishment. Razors Edge now located in Pembroke has good staff that will take the time and has patience dealing with children.Secondly, I have had a haircut here and about the same experience where it was not a good outcome. The price paid at this place is not worth it. Below par at best.

Worst cut I've had, waste of money. In and out in 12 mins and I have long, thick, curly hair. I knew better but thought I'd give it a chance, regrets. Brushed my thick hair with a small thin comb breaking my hair. Didn't dampen it, left it fuzzy and puffy to cut it unevenly. Thinned only my ends leaving hair oddly shaped. I'm so sad.
