I found staff weren't too friendly and everyone in the restaurant was a bit off putting. Got the oyster burger because I had heard such good reviews, but then when I got it. The oysters were giant and tasted disgusting, worst oysters I've ever had. It was hard even trying to finish the meal. I ended up giving up and just paying for the food, disappointingly. Will never go back.

It's dingy, the lighting needs work, everything is dark as can be, no pool table, fruit flies everywhere. The drinks were meh and the appy was honestly pretty gross - your on an island with easy access to fresh scallops. They don't need to be frozen!!!But the fish and chips stole the show and made everything better. Absolutely divine, flaky yummy perfection on a plate. Instantly made everything better. The waitress was also awesome, friendly and helpful. The fellow patrons were also friendly and talkative but not intrusive.Not 100% if I'd go back, but worth the one time experience.

Just to come in and relax to listen to the bluesy background is good enough for me.And a frosty beer mug to boot.Lots of bikes outside, dont worry, theyare a friendly crowd.Pub grub is good.A good old time pub, which are gettingto be a dieing breed.Oh, they might have a rum or two (55) available.

Wow!, Such A great time today on the patio with my Sister Love Mona-Rose Vietch. Great food, lots of friendly people. Wicked Staff, Awsome service. So coming back

They advertise the best fish and chips in the valley, not even close, they weren't bad but they definitely weren't great. I think they're trying to go for an old school, gold Rush style, saloon but it's more hipster than anything. I would consider going back and giving it a second chance, maybe it'll be better on a different day?

As a local that works overseas it is always a highlight of days off when I can spend some time at the Highway Pub. The food is always awesome, you'll never leave hungry. The service is always what I desire, but hey it always is when people get appreciated and you tip! Do yourself a favour and check it out, don't like it, don't come back, you won't be missed. PS Love the mannequins!

Looks like a dive bar on the outside and inside, but it's really an expensive lounge. Their happy hour items are just half sized and half price of normal items so you don't save any money (it actually costs you a little more).Glad to have tried it, but wouldn't go again. $80 for two people is way too much.
