Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre Emergency Department

Sat for 4 hours with my boyfriend who had a stage 2 chemical burn, they didnt even offer any pain medication while we waited. They let everyone who came in after us, in before us. While my boyfriend is sitting in a wheelchair in severe pain. Triage lady was pretty unwelcoming and just straight up not kind, the ladies at the front giving out masks were 1000x nicer. Go to Lacombe or Innisfail, not worth the long wait.

I usually end up in hospital every Feb or March but this year it's April. I have very important papers that I must have at all times. They lost the sleeve that holds everything. I think the drs and the nurses are fantastic. I've only had 2 nurses in all the years I've been going and stating a week or 2 at a time that I had problems with. I like the food too!!!!. So now my sleeve is missing and someone really dropped the ball.

4 hour wait time, Puking, massive kidney pain and loosing consciousness in the wait room.I am only 26People around me seemed very concerned and confused as to why I was not a priority.Bag of saline and some morphine on a bed for about 40 minutes and then sent out the door?I don’t recommend unless something is seriously wrong with you.

Helpful and polite

Sent in by family doctor post op complications. I think the lady in the chair was supposed to greet me. Very rude No hello nothing hand santizer, mask and a purple wrist band with the date. Why? apparently don’t ask questions. I took a chair not because I was directed two other patients were helpful In tears I was wiping my eyes and about to blow my nose when the aggre came and told me “put your maskon” I asked for a second. He stated “Keep your mask on too wipe your eyes.”Is this what the Red Deer Hospital is about? Two patients beside me left. As the security guard in the picture explained to knew patients coming in the could be see the nurse and leave. So inappropriate. That is an RN decision. Next is Triage, no one has your name before hand or even why you are there.Sheila the triage Nurse, absolutely awesome, caring and WOW! Keep her you have a Gem in that Nurse. Registration Clerk careful with demographics and my name.During my registration process the security guard featured in the picture. Is telling a patient they may need a CT see the triage nurse blah! Blah! Explaining the process is one thing, this is so out of his scope. So Four patients have left now that came in after me because of what this security guard stated to them.August 11, 2022 arrival 1330

Today 2022-11-14, my 79 year old mom fell (has a broken ankle/head injury) & was taken to Red Deer Emergency by ambulance at 12:36pm. 15 hours later at 3:18 am ( I keep checking her status every 2-3 hours), she remains in triage ( a room behind the ambulance entry) with EMS crew. I still have not heard back from a doctor. I was told that I can not see her due to confidentiality related issues. Apparently, there are an additional 53" patients waiting to be seen/treated. There are few/if any hospital beds available. When I call to check in on her status there is lots of confusion & I can't seem to get an accurate report

I broke my back in a hunting accident. Dr.Gash and all of his medical crew were amazing. The EMS crew who brought me in were second to none in looking after me.(Bree thank you for making my day with those great hunting photos)

Worst experience ever. My two year old was throwing up every ten minutes and even in the waiting room. We had to wait over 4 hrs to get any kind of assistance. The nurses are no help same with the doctors. Only reason I came to this emergency room was cause I thought they would help but I was wrong. Terrible service.

Terrible wait times no help whatsoever

Went in early Friday morning, wait was about a half hour or so. Was in Emergency over night then admitted up stairs. The ER nurse, Drs, porters, lab techs, CT scan techs were all amazing. Everyone followed Covid protoclas to a T. The nurses had to enter my room quite often and always did with a smile even tho they had to put fresh gowns on everytime until my Covid test cam eback negative. Thank you for the care you gave and for the smiles l.
