Gerry’s Automotive/OK Tire used to be the only place I took my vehicles for repair and maintenance - when Frank was in charge the service was very good, and most importantly, honest. There were several occasions where I received very good customer service, which is why I kept coming back.It would seem that there has been a change of ownership and management recently, and I’ve gone from recommending this shop to others, to advising them to stay away.I took my car in for an oil change, as well as to check on a rattling noise from under the car (sounded like a loose heat shield or something similar) - although the technician just took the car for a burn down the roughest bumpy road in the area - to confirm they “couldn’t hear any noise” (can’t imagine why that would be).I was then advised about additional repairs that were recommended upon their inspection. Nearly $1500 in additional repairs. (After hearing them total up $3000 in additional items for another customer). Now, I’m not necessarily saying that the recommended services aren’t required, although the quotes seemed very high. I had a previous experience here where the dealership of all places was hundreds of dollars cheaper due to a discrepancy in the labour time - Gerry’s quoted 2.5h of labour and the dealer was 0.8h. At $140/hr, that’s a considerable difference.Among other things, I was told that the serpentine belt was cracked and needed replacement, and I needed a transmission service on the next oil change. The “service advisor” seemed to have never heard of a CVT transmission, and asked me if it was a Manual. Upon clarifying with someone who knows what they’re talking about, I was quoted more than what the dealer charges. Usually, when someone is recommending a service, it’s more reassuring if they know what they’re actually selling you. The serpentine belt is not in dire need of replacement as indicated - relatively light wear - compared to a $280 replacement since it was “cracked”.Above all else, my major concern from this visit is the practice of adding additional charges to your bill, in the hopes the customer won’t notice. You are asked for payment before you are provided with an itemized invoice. The “shop supplies” charges are sporadic, ranging from $10-40, with no clear percentage-based logic of any kind. After paying, I noticed I was charged for 3L of windshield washer fluid, at $1.99/L as part of the oil change. Personally, I’ve never heard of a shop charging you to top-up your windshield washer fluid as a courtesy during your oil change. Even the quick lube places do it at no charge.I questioned this amount, not that the $6 is a lot of money, but primarily because I had filled the reservoir myself not more than 2 weeks ago, and I know for a fact that it didn’t take 3 litres. If you are going to charge a customer for a fluid by volume, the amount should be accurate. Someone who I believe to be the new manager offered to refund the amount (only to try to shut me up, which was evident from his tone). I would’ve simply forgotten about it and moved on, except when I left I noticed that they had not added ANY windshield washer fluid to the reservoir at all. Zero.Again, charge people all you want, but you should at least be providing what you charge for.Overall, I would stay away from here. I was going to purchase a new set of tires among other things from here very soon, although I will be taking my business somewhere else, to a business that cares about their customers and most importantly is honest. Dishonest charges, exaggerated service recommendations, and service advisors with minimal knowledge about vehicles are something I would think most people would want to steer clear of.

It was such a nice experience. Everyone was so nice. I had new tires put on, a new battery and they took such good care of my car answered all questions and were always there to answer the phone. Will defiantly be back and i highly recommend.

Great shop and nice guys! Fair and reasonable price on tires and they helped me out in a pinch. Not from Abbotsford and had to get truck towed there and they fixed it up super quick and effectively!Thanks guys.

We were on a road trip from Alberta, when our vehicle was having some serious mechanical issues. These guys fit us in when they didn't have to. They were professional and hospitable, and made sure that our vehicle would be ready to get us the rest of the way home.

Very happy with the service! Justin got our RV promptly showed my husband what needed to be repaired or replaced. We will be back when anything arises! Will recommend to anymore!
