Superb, the adventure starts with the flight into Khutzemateen. Location is perfect. I enjoyed the opportunity to just hop into a kayak before brekfast and go explore. If you are into SUP's you can do that too. Very professional and friwndly staff that make you feel at home right away. Rooms basic but veeery comfortable and I enjoyed the roof window to the stars. Excellent food. Expert guides. We visited after what was probably one of the last salmon runs of the year, but still came away full of insights, and we got to see humpbacks bubblenetting! Expensive, but will go again.

Profound. Jamie, the owner, was exceptionally knowledgeable and approachable. Neil’s food was, as has been mentioned, a carefully orchestrated celebration of locally caught and foraged ingredients that all came together to somehow closely rival the bear encounters as the highlight of the trip. Gerron and Franco were also extraordinarily kind, educated, and excited to share their extensive knowledge of the area and it’s flora/fauna. As many have said, this was the experience of a lifetime and I say that without even a hint of exaggeration.

Wonderful place and people. I can't imagine a better place to see Grizzly bears in the wild. Every day (including the arrival day), we took two, 3 hour boat trips looking for primarily for bears. Our guides, Jamie and Franko, also paused for the occasional whale, harbor seal, eagle and Loon. The bears are used to the boats so we could get up close for pictures. Meals were prepared by Niel, who is a very good chef.I will recommend this trip it to friends.

This tour is the best we have ever been on. We were on our honeymoon and it was amazing. Jamie's team is outstanding. Everything from the lodge to the tours were well planned and executed. The food and drinks were fantastic. We will never forget the bears. You get up close to the animals on every tour (Bears, Eagles, Whales, Seals). The guides can answer any question you have regarding the bears and very passionate about what they are sharing with the world. If you have not been to the North West Coast of BC make sure you book a tour here. I wish google had more than 5 stars.I included a photo of a bear I took on one of our outings. We watched him as he walked from one creek to another. It was a privilege to be apart of his world for that time. Thanks for everything.

Amazing. No other way to describe it. You can get close to grizzly bears and view them in their natural habitat without disturbing them. The guides are knowledgeable and very mindful of sustaining the habitat and the food is outstanding. A truly unique experience.

Cannot say enough good things about the Khutzeymateen Lodge! My wife and I planned a trip to be immersed in wildlife and this did not disappoint! Jamie (the owner/guide) was an amzing host and has set up an incredible experience unlike anything in the world. His knowledge and passion for the surround wildlife is unmatched and he showed us some incredible sights. Neil (the chef) cooked us meals found in a Michelin restauraunt and his attention to detail is amazing as he took allergies and preferences into account for every meal. Rachel (2nd guide) was incredibly gracious and informative, while being patient with the many photographers on our trip (myself included). Overall, an oasis off the grid where strangers become lifelong friends and the wildlife viewing is unmatched!

Outstanding place and people. The best place to see Grizzly bears, black bears, minks, Loons and zillion other wildlife. The lodge floats on the inlet waters - in a magical spot. Each day, there are two boat trips of circa three hours - looking for bears and other wildlife. The bears allow" the boat to get close up sightings. One of the best nature reserves/ wildlife sanctuaries in the world. The lodge is made of cedar tree logs. Meals are prepared by a very good chef. Highly recommended - once in a lifetime experience. Getting in and out is via float

Fantastic! Even though we were the first group all season not to see bears, we saw humpback whales bubble netting right beside our boat! Incredible! Also thoroughly enjoyed all our time out on the water bear hunting and seeing all the bird life - hundreds of bald eagles - and sea life. Managed to make time for a kayak too.The staff were so great and the food first class.Would love to go back.

What an adventure, we surely had an experience of a life time. Jamie the owner was such a good host. The food was cooked by Neil their resident chef and was delicious and such a treat to have locally sourced and foraged ingredients. The rooms whilst basic were comfortable and clean. We went out on the RIB twice a day and saw bears and humpback whales. The wilderness really is in the middle of the national park and the peace and tranquility is in abundance. The seals are a little noisey at bedtime, but all part of the story.
