My wife and I decided to have a patio poured for our backyard this year. I must say, Stern blew our expectations out of the water. This is a company from the get go keeps you informed start to finish. Kyle the owner himself meets with you and stays in touch until the end. They are prompt to answer any questions you may have along the way. Their experience is second to none and their recommendations go beyond what you could have imagined. If anyone is looking to have some hard scape done I can say from personal experience I wouldn’t recommend anyone else!

We had our trees removed in our lawn. Kyle kept us well informed during the process and answered any questions we had! Very nice work was done! I definitely recommend him if you need any work done!

In the 2022 summer season, Stern Lawn N’ Landscaping handled cutting and trimming my properties in Wausau. While traveling for work I never had to worry about my property and their condition when away. Often times the team would go above and beyond when it came to small-scale exterior maintenance. As for the lawn and shrubs, they always looked great. I highly recommend this company and I will continue to use in the future.

Stern is not a company that I would ever recommend or do business with again. They poured a concrete patio in our back yard last Summer that already has a large jagged crack down the middle and many smaller ones. It looked great when it was finished, but as soon as the snow melted this spring we could see the cracks. After many messages back and forth, the best they say they can do is fill the cracks because “all cement cracks in Wisconsin.” However, none of the rest of our concrete that was original to the house is cracked and several of my friends have cement patios that have been through many WI winters and aren’t cracked. They never even bothered to send someone out to look at the damage after I requested that several times. All I got was “we’ll fill the cracks or do nothing, your choice” response. At first they sent me “canned” responses, which leads me to believe they get a lot of the same type of complaints. They did not address my specific concerns at all. I was told by the sales guy before we had the work done that sometimes cement will have small cracks eventually due to frost. I understood that, but I didn’t expect large cracks and crumbling after the first winter. I also didn’t expect the stain to be mostly flaking off after 8 mos and hardly being walked on. Their excuse was that stain will fade and wear off in high traffic areas or areas that get a lot of sun. Our patio is neither. They didn’t offer to fix that at all. So far I’ve had one other company look at it and they said the pictures of before it was done seem to show they didn’t put a good enough base down, the rebar is laying on the ground instead of on blocks and they must not have sealed the concrete so it wouldn’t have cured/hardened properly. It was also his opinion that they should have put a score down the middle. I’m having another company come look at it soon so we’ll see what they say also. AllI want is a refund at this point.

I had two different teams work at my place, one did a large concrete pour and the other repaired a failing boulder retaining wall done by someone else. Both teams were hardworking, polite and professional. Everything I asked for was completed just as we agreed and you can't beat the price.

Great work by Kyle and his concrete crew leader Juan. It’s tough to find people to show up these days and they showed up. Have to be specific about what you want and what you are looking for but it ended up working out great and looking amazing. Thank you!

We hired this landscaper to put steps from our upper land to the water, the steps and put in are gorgeous. Unfortunately they are 10 feet from the water. Unfortunately for us, we had them put in in late fall and we did not have access to the lake obviously until spring I contacted them and they said we will take care of it. Yes, we understand you wanted them to the water. Summer went by and nothing. Contacted them again in fall. He said he’d look into it… now it’s almost spring and no resolution. Frustrated and disappointed
