Mold.ca - Professional Mold Inspection in Toronto

We had an ongoing issue with a cold room and mold, the room had previously been treated twice but huge condensation and mold every couple of years was driving us crazy. We finally put out another call on HomeStars and Mold.ca were one of only two contractors that viewed the job that really gave us the inside scoop on why the problem was recurring. Mold.ca's solution involved more work but was about the same price as the other contractors and they were the only company who put forward a solution that didn't involve hugely toxic chemicals. We dealt with Greg on the initial consultation and he was super professional and took extra time to explain the root of the problem and what the best solution was. He was super easy to deal with and seemed to have unlimited patience for stupid questions.When we decide to proceed with the work they were easy to schedule and we actually had to change the schedule at the last minute but they accommodated us very easily and rescheduled for a couple of days later. The crew that came in to do the hard lifting were great, very unobtrusive, sealed everything up super well and gave us a clear timeline of what work they'd be doing before they started and then ran us through how the day went and what had been done. They were also amazingly good at cleaning up the worksite before they left.Had to wait a few days for the chemicals to dry out and Greg was in regular touch to see how it was going and once everything was dry they quickly booked in to come and finish the job. The foreman from the first day was back but now with a carpenter and they again spent time explaining what the day's plan was and why everything was being done. Again, totally unobtrusive and just super easy to deal with. Greg came in around the afternoon and reviewed the ongoing work with us, making sure we understood the process. He ended up staying and working on the clean up which was perfect. A nice touch was that some of the masking tape they used stripped a tiny bit of paint on the wall, which had been pretty banged up by our cat, they unasked totally painted the whole wall. It's been a few months now and we went through the wet winter but the room looks great and the added touches of adding vents to the door at the top and bottom seems to be working great. We'd totally recommend these guys, great communication, fantastic execution and the finishing was awesome.

I cannot recommend this company any more highly. Professional, honest, respectful, thorough, beyond my expectations in every way. From beginning to end, they were an absolute pleasure to deal with. I have never had a better customer service experience than I have working with this fantastic company. From the first minute, I could tell they were trying to help me rather than take advantage of a horrific situation. I met Gregg first who assessed my mold issue. We hit it off as he's very personable. He gave me the avenues we could take to deal with the problem and tried to help me take care of it myself first. He went to his truck and gave me a bunch of supplies free! I did eventually opt to do a full deep cleaning. This is when I met the wonderful Indira. Let me tell you.. she's a special one! What she put up with during this whole crazy ordeal is truly unbelievable. Sure, she was there to answer every single question I had. That was the easy part. She also put up with my verbally abusive tenant and his girlfriend who called constantly, yelling and accusing Indira almost daily. She could have easily treated me differently but she was so empathetic, knowing what I had to deal with unjustly. I was so embarrassed and ashamed that she was dragged into this mess. She never made me feel bad and always laughed at my awkwardly delivered jokes".Gregg helped me coordinate the cleaning with his team and it went flawless. One day of excellent work. It went so smoothly!! He was always available to chat the same day I had any questions or concerns - calling me from his truck between jobs. I honestly felt like the company was made just for me. Like I was the only client that mattered any time I chatted with them.This job was a huge stressful one for myself and I doubt any other company would have made me feel like a friend rather than just another invoice.Fantastic people and highly recommended!"

I contacted them last month inquiring about treating mold in the bathroom. Their representative gave me some tips on handling it before deciding to book an inspection with them. I tried her tips and it worked. While I didn't user their services I will be recommending them to others because of their honest approach to my problem.

Over promise and under deliver. Charge a premium price for sub-par service. If you want to know what kind of company it is Peter Stragapete below works there and tried to boost the rating with a 5 Star. Very underhanded.
