Listen to your GUT!At almost 35 years old I came into Dr. Rucha's office in a state. I was shaking, crying and not able to hold it together. I was constantly yawning and had difficulty breathing. I suffered from Ocular migraines and serious brain fog. I was completely depleted, depressed and waking up from panic attacks nightly. Don't even get me started or the muscle and joint pain, acid reflux and heart palpitations. I wanted to do nothing ever, not even anything fun. I had severe stomach issues and anxiety through the roof which I had never experienced before. For almost a year, my family physician kept trying to prescribe me anxiety medication, which I should add was never a symptom I had experienced in the past. Which was exactly the issue, it was a symptom that I needed to resolve, not mask. Meds? No thanks, Doc. Also, did he even listen to my vast list of other issues? I was pinged as one of those patients that is annoying, delusional or even a hypochondriac.I decided to seek alternative forms of healthcare to actually help resolve my issues which lead me to Dr. Rucha Rege, ND, the naturopathic medicine my family physician should have prescribed in the first place. Her calm, soothing nature made it easy for me to lay everything out on the table. She learned that I had been under far too much stress (and stresses can be small, but when you have many they add up and take a toll) and this stress was residing in my digestive system. I did a food sensitivity test (but not the free one) and with sessions of acupuncture, a food elimination plan, natural supplements and simple discussion, 'we' have worked through my issues.I will note that this didn't happen overnight, but with Dr. Rucha's positive encouragement and a few steps at a time, I can say today that I am 100% back to how I used to be. I am 36 years old now and absolutely loving life. If you asked me at 35 when I was feeling at my worst if I could go out on a 6 day thru-hike with a 45lb. pack in Killarney National Park (ON) I would have said no way, let me sleep. But I did it!I cannot thank Dr. Rucha enough for everything she's done for me over the past year and a half. I am glad I literally listened to my GUT and went for it. It was the best decision I ever made. All you need to do is make the choice. Be heard. You are NOT crazy. Take back your health!
