Had an appointment today at 9:00. At 9:10 they were already collecting my blood! My veins are very thin, they usually struggle a lot to find my veins, but they were very good at this!

I have always had very speedy service and the highly trained staff are great and eager to make you as comfortable as possible. The way to get the best service is to arrive 5 to 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. Let the intake staff know you are there and follow their instructions. Maintain a 6’ distance and ware a mask. While waiting and 9x out of 10 you will be on your scheduled time.

Very difficult to get an appointment. They don't take walk-ins and yet you have to pay for parking just to be told no walk-ins". The one time I had to go there (with an appointment) the staff was not friendly at all. Save your trip and time and visit DynaCare on Victoria St. They do take walk-ins

They are lucky they got 1 star. I had an appointment and when I got there I waited about 45 minutes. They allowed 2 patients in before me who were walk-in. Once I got in I had to wait even longer. And finally when I got in the needle was excruciatingly painful. I have had numerous blood tests, none of which have hurt at all. The technician was incompetent. I am still in pain.

Super gungy filthy place and i dont even care about or notice that stuff normally. Then they contaiminated my sample making my doctor send me to the hospital not once but twice only to find the sample was containimanated. highly reccomend using a different non disgusting lab.

Seeing lots of the same comments about the senior receptionist…The lady at the front desk was beyond rude. Another patient walked in behind me who you could clearly tell that English was not their first language, and all they said was when their scheduled appointment was.. the lady didn’t listen and then asked her again, and she said 9:50 again and the lady ignored her. Then the patient said it again because she got ignored and the lady at the desk said “yeah I’m putting it in, chill.”Like how is this professional by any means?She also told me I needed to email them a form so I did that while at the desk bc I was unsure if there was other info she needed from me, I said I sent it, got ignored, then she asked me if I sent it and I said yeah I already sent it. And she told me okay then you don’t need to stand here..I have worked in customer service and healthcare and this was ridiculous. It doesn’t take much to be nice to patients.

My first impression today was terrible as I noticed the way someone in front of me was treated by the oldest receptionist at the front desk. When it was my turn that receptionist didn't greet me or acknowledge me but kept clicking away so loud at her computer and doing some other paperwork. I wonder what she might have going on in her personal life since you never know... This is definitely no excuse for poor customer service though. My experience wasn't completely awful because the lady who took my blood who was Brazilian was actually very pleasant and welcoming. She was talkative and informative in letting me know that I could check the results of my blood test online which I have never heard of yet. So this was a positive turn around.

My wife arrived at LifeLabs on Wharncliffe at opening time and was the second person there, the first for x-rays. After waiting an hour, she inquired and told it would be another half hour because they took another person ahead of her for a large x-ray job. She left without getting her x-ray. Another gentleman was also fed up and left. The front desk apparently does not communicate with the lab to advise sequence.
