The Salvation Army Thrift Store

This is my one of favourite thrift store. A huge space of delight shopping.They accept for cash, debit and credit cards as well. There are thousands of clothings and shoes. Sports gears, vintage LP, books, many of painting frames, even more.. so good to get brand new stuffs as well! Friendly staffs and keep distance most of customers.

Great place! The store is a small hidden store amongst the Kerrisdale district. (It's literally on the edge of the area)The selection of the clothing and products are abundant. There isn't a lot because the building is physically small, but the items are of great quality. This is totally different from value village.The books and items can be very new. I even bought something from daiso that's unopened. The dresses and clothing actually look really good.The staff are very nice too, and are all throughout the store, cleaning up or restocking. I can hear machinery in the backroom.What makes me come back is that all their proceeds go towards good places. Unlike value village, who keeps the profits, salvation army gives their earnings to other non profits like children's camps, shelters, food banks, churches, and to families in need.

Customer service was very friendly. Place was clean and organized.

Store is located in the core Kerrisdale business area. It is in proximity to residential areas of low rise apartments to large single family homes and therefore has a cross selection of merchandise from standard, to designer (depends on donation volume). Donation drop off door is in the rear laneway. Metered street parking is available, as well as some residential street parking. #letsguide #covid

Drove all the way there in a rental car with donation items and they wouldn't open the door. Google Maps shows them open till 8pm but for donations it's only 5pm

This store is my favourite of the Sally Anne's I visit across Vancouver. Not because of the inventory, but the staff, who are friendly, helpful and a pleasure to interact with. Thank you for being great people!

The store is more organized now! Located in Kerrisdale along 41st Avenue is one of the best location to drop off your donation (back alley).

One of my favourites as a fun outing. The store is v crowded, hard to move around and moderately organized. The housewares section is huge and has many gems often brand new. I find high end sports clothes here but rarely good runners etc. I really love the older building w hand laid tiles and classic decor. Parking is always avail for a few dollars in the meter. You have to go in with a patient mindset ... there are some treasures but you will have to search through things. Happy thrifting :)

I went today for the first time at that location. The prices were ridiculous. There was a few deals. Item sizes were not the same as racks said, makes it very hard to shop.They over charged me 3 x what they were supposed to charge me.However, they dealt with the issue in a very sensitive and timely manner. Much appreciated.If you need housewares, they have a good selection.
