The Prop Drop

We have a 2004 Sportster Seadoo boat. Been taking it there for the past 5 years for winterizing and service. Always a phenomenal job and exceptional service!

I’ve been helping my friend with his new to them boat the last year. Unfortunately last year it needed a motor and he lost the 2020 summer but this year things have been good. Other than the boat. Or getting up on plane without people up front. Today we took the boat out of the water and took a drive over to see the guys at The Prop Drop. We could tell they were busy but were willing to ask some questions we had, had a look at the two props we had, discussed our options. The best bet was the one not on the boat however it was pretty damaged from a previous owner. He recommended a new 4 blade one versus the 3 that comes on them. Huge huge help, and explained the options.We took the boat out this afternoon and it is a completely different boat. Up on plane quickly and runs great! This was our first experience but I wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend The Prop Drop to anyone that needs help with their boat related challenges.Thanks guys

i bought a boat late last year and knew as soon as i had it in the water that the engine was less reliable that I would have hoped, its a 1998 Johnson 2 stroke 20 hp. it refused to start in the cold without a ton of spray and for one particular session almost half an hour of playing with the thing with my buddies on board trying to get the thing to start, being exhausted from countless pulls on the cord I knew there may be some real issues with my recent purchase. I just bought the boat and all the guys I bought it from said that it may have a little trouble starting in the cold. so come spring i took it to the prop shop as its one of closer stores to me and its right near my school. Come a week later my boat was done, he showed me everything that was wrong with it and all the quick fixes that the prior owners did and set me of on my way, I took it out the other day in some colder weather (would have been similar temp to the last time) it wouldn't start and it legitimately started first pull every time with no spray. Its given me a lot more confidence on the water and id say the cost of repair was more than reasonable (lower than i had anticipated).

Took a boat to this guy, had a 200 black max on it, came back to see that he put a 200 Johnson on my boat with out asking, motor wouldn’t run bushings where sloppy, all the gages didn’t work, even the wiring was loose to the motor from the controls, veery sloppy, so now i need parts, an the serial number is scratched off the motor he put on my boat, this guy an his business is a nightmare, save ur self the trouble an go anywhere else, but luckily I have pictures of the boat parked in his driveway, so I have proof of it all, cause he’ll just deny it

Andy has been wonderful, knowledgeable and trustworthy since the day I met him about 6 years ago. I had popped in to ask him about an old prop....he sold me a inexpensive new prop and which saved me alot of gas mileage and improved performance... and now it's just gravy. I also had a severe issue with the bottom end of my motor...he rebuilt it all and it has NEVER performed better. Previously...I winterized my motor myself....but now...he does it painlessly perferct and now my boat starts on the first turn every spring. He ALWAYS returns my calls or texts and tells the truth. He IS TRULY an honest gem that we all NEED! What goes around comes around. Thank-you Andy!

Contacted over the phone to ask about repairs. Given the site advertises we have almost any part" and "we rebuild engines of almost any make and model" just to be told they don't work on anything pre 2005.. so how is that "almost any" make or model lmao... not to mention the rude tone when I was told "nobody will work on that junk

Never had work done but I'm getting a kick out of all these fake posts about how bad Andrew is lol I've known the family for years. Worked with his wife and I can assure you he's not crooked like some of these posts are saying. Good luck Andrew and many more years of great service for Kawartha lakes.

I thought my season was over...I spun my prop hub on an older Mariner and replacement parts were not available. Called Andy and in a day he had a what I think is a better prop than the original on the boat...Great service and price....saved my fall musky fishing. Thank you Andy!

Bought some ATV tires from Andy the other day and was very happy with the friendly service and price. Value add was Andy put them on my rims for me no charge. Will tell others and shop again.
