Nice building lots of room inside. At the time the service was OK but the nachos were mostly comprised of very small pieces like from the bottom of the bag, very disappointing.

Always a great meal and the atmosphere is top notch! The staff is great and they have live entertainment at least once a month. I really enjoy the garlic stuffed mushrooms and crispy mashed potatoes and the burgers are so good. 5 stars all around!

You can get five star service and food in a small town. The staff here is cool af. I was joined by the two servers while I was eating (I guess I sat in the staff area) they were so willing to have a small conversation, it really warms up the friendly feeling you get here.I had the Buffalo wrap, now I never order this item, and per suggest of the bar tender I wanted something he would suggest, and a great pick it was.Lettuce was crunch all the way, it didn't have to much sauce which wasn't dripping down your hands. The balance of spice and ranch was just right. This is a big wrap, the portion size was epic.The onion rings came out in a neat presentation, and were jumbo size, not bogged down in oil and had crunch in every bit, a great side to this dish.Order anything here, if you need suggestions the staff is happy to help you out.

The Whistling Donkey Pub 'N' Lounge
November 23, 2019. Now this place was the jewel of the trip.A converted town hall into a pub. The towns rich history all over the walls. Amazing friendly staff willing to tell you all about it. Didn't stay for food, but had a couple of drinks. Loved this place and would definitely go back.

I was staying at the new Souris Hotel and was told by the locals in town to go there.The Whistling Donkey Pub is a nice place to go for a drink or food. We had a party of 12 and they were able to accommodate us quickly. The staff were great and the service was fast. We all ordered appetizers cause is was late and they were good.I also found they had a good selection of specialty drinks and beer. I would recommend stopping in.We were also told that the live entertainment is very good.

Awful service. Took 20 minutes to get a beer. Then I ordered the nachos with no olives...came with olives. Sent it back and recieved a new order. There was a blob of half melted cheese on the top, cold jalapenos, a teaspoon of onion and some cold tomatoes on the lower, completely dry chips. Half the chips had no toppings at all. There's only a few places to eat in souris. Do NOT eat here. What a hole!

I travel solo frequently for work and was staying in the Souris Hotel, which is across from the Whistling Donkey. The staff were very friendly to a solitary diner, and made me feel at home. They accommodated my gluten allergy without batting an eye and served me one of the best steak dinners I’ve had in years. Highly recommended!!

The best steak I have had in a long long time! Poutine with roast beef was delicious!! Asked the waitress to surprise me with a drink and she didn’t let me down. Thanks for the “gummy bear”!! Reasonable prices!
