I went for a bridal consult back in the summer during the peak of the pandemic and I have to say the staff at Chester and Felicity made my experience seamless. Despite having restrictions due to the pandemic they were so accommodating and selecting dresses prior to my appointment to eliminate the contact/touching actually made it much easier as we had a better idea of my vision and what styles I was leaning towards. Erin was absolutely great to work with and the attention/detail she gave not only during my visit but also following up afterwards was great. I visited the store right before they were receiving some new dresses/lines and Erin continued to follow-up with me about new arrivals in case anything peaked my interest.If you are shopping for your dress in the Halifax area I would highly recommend visiting as not only are the gowns beautiful and reasonably priced, but they have a large selection and very knowledgeable staff!

I had such an incredible experience at Chester and Felicity! I first tried on dresses in January of 2020 with my mom and mother-in-law and it was so incredibly special. Our consultant was lovely and they had a great system for choosing dresses to try on without getting overwhelmed. I actually ended up choosing the first dress I tried on. I also got my veil and hair-piece from Chest and Felicity. I didn't end up purchasing the dress until the next year! They were very accommodating when I wanted to come back and try on my dress for my maid on honour while she was in town after purchasing the dress as well. They recommended a great tailor as well! I'll add some photos of the dress when I first fell in love to wearing it on my wedding day this past October! Thanks again!

Loved my experience at Chester & Felicity - the team there went above and beyond to help me narrow in on what I wanted for my wedding dress. The staff was thoughtful, paid excellent attention to detail, and really listened to what I wanted and then guided me to the right dresses. Couldn't be more grateful!

I just got back from trying on dresses and I was blown away. Erin was incredibly helpful and just a really good human. She helped me so much and really paid attention to what I was liking and not liking until...not even that many dresses in...we found my perfect dress. I'm going to submit a photo but it doesn't do the dress justice at all. It was exactly me and was a very reasonable price.I wasn't having a very good day and considered cancelling but the whole experience really turned everything around. Can't recommend more. Go! You might find your dress, you might not, but you'll be treated with such attention and care you'll leave happy regardless.

From the first appointment to my wedding day, I haven’t had a good experience with C&F. My first appointment which was my very first wedding dress appointment ever, I chose C&F first because of the style of dresses seemed to be unmatched by other companies in HRM. The consultant greeted us and had all the dresses in the room for me, but as I tried them on I couldn’t seem to find any I liked. She also didn’t seemed to listen to what I wanted and what I didn’t want. Luckily, they had a trunk show on and the man who was there representing the Essence of Australia was checking in with all the brides there and heard me when I was talking about what I wanted and didn’t want. Moments later he pulled a dress off the rack and I fell in love. If he wasn’t there I wouldn’t have found my dress and went elsewhere. The major red flag when I was purchasing my dress was that the women consultant recommended me ordering two sizes larger than what my measurements said. I agreed as this is there expertise so I trusted them. I also mentioned that I can control my weight and knew I would be a bit smaller regardless but she still insisted ordering mine two sizes larger.The ‘pick up’ hours and days are not accommodating to most careers. I wasn’t able to pick up my dress when it came in on the weekend, they only allow that during the week between 10-4. So as a business owner I had to take time off + have an employee cover me, costing me money. Was not impressed with this.When I took my dress to a taylor shop after receiving it, he had to take off almost 3-4 inches of fabric on both sides of my dress… the sides were mesh and my favourite part therefore I was a bit disappointed that I was loosing a lot of that. Another issue is that by ordering such a large size the cups on the dress were huge. I’m a 34-A and the cups were almost a C, meaning every time I bent over you could see into my chest.On the day of my wedding, button covers popped off the back of my dress, one of the clasps broke and it stretched a lot. Obviously on the day of your wedding dresses do take a beating but for a brand new dress I didn’t expect it to fall apart.After speaking to my wedding planner, she also mentioned that she’s noticed that they push to order two sizes larger - if your reading this DO NOT do it.My Taylor tried so hard to make it perfect and by the time my wedding day came I was over the dress as it’s been nothing but bad experiences. Hopefully they learn from this review or another bride avoids the recommendations from them.

I cannot say enough about this place! The service is impeccable and their attention to detail is exceptional. I am from Ontario but my husband is from Halifax. I can say that this boutique was far superior to any of the ones I visited in Ontario. The selection was so vast in terms of sizes, colour, style etc....Thank you Michelle for playing a huge part in making my dream wedding come true!

I felt a little guilty booking an appointment at a nice boutique because I had a small budget and I was very upfront about it but they never made me feel out of place. On the contrary, they helped me pick out a beautiful dress off the rack. They also patiently waited for me to set up a laptop so my mom and sisters could join us and offered sparkling wine to toast and I got to ring the bell. I went in thinking I was a small fry and still got all the literal bells and proverbial whistles.

I visited Chester and Felicity last weekend with my daughter Whitney and her future mother-in-law. With the assistance from Sarah, we had a wonderful and stress-free experience in a beautiful and bright environment. Sarah was very professional, personable and well prepared; she pulled several dresses, with Whitney’s style in mind, in advance of our arrival. She also suggested that my daughter try on a few other dresses that she thought would look great on her. Although it was difficult to choose among all the beautiful wedding dresses that Sarah selected for my daughter, Whitney did say “yes” to one gorgeous dress. I highly recommend Chester and Felicity as your bridal shop and Sarah as your consultant for a fantastic experience.
