A foundation wall, framing walls and ceiling addition. He has honest pricing and worked with my engineer to find solutions to renovation headaches that popped up.Communication - Prompt and effective. He wouldn't give dates without giving it great consideration to his other clients but would get back to me within about 24hrs with a plan.Effectiveness - Exceptional! Words can't describe my gratitude. He worked tirelessly to save our renovation timeline and fit us into his busy schedule.Quality - Impressive cuts that fit like a glove into the grooves.Treat him with respect and be flexible with his schedule and he will honor you with the same.Fred is an extremely hard worker, flexible and upbeat. They don’t care about the environment and will poison your yard with chemicals causing years of problems then won’t fix it. Wouldn’t suggest using them for home project just use you’re own hands before trusting these children with you’re money.

We hired Dutch Carpenter & Co to replace our deck with a newer, larger one including new railings and stairs. It was clear from the initial consultation and all the way through the construction process that we made the right decision. Rogier is obviously skilled at carpentry and was also always courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable. He actively suggested options along the way, kept us informed at each step, and always left the site clean and tidy at the end of each day.The finished deck is exactly what we envisioned in the planning stages. Actually, that’s not true — it’s way better than we imagined! We gained an additional 6 feet of deck, have flawless new side-mount railings (giving additional space compared to the top-mount version), and have the best and most beautiful stairs in the neighbourhood. You know the ones in the picture on the back of his trailer? Just like that — and they look even more beautiful in person!There was one minor dent on a railing installed by a third-party. Rogier handled the issue and ensured it was corrected the next day. I only mention that to show how great he is at solving problems and providing excellent customer service.We highly recommend Dutch Carpenter & Co. The next time we have a project, we won’t hesitate to call Rogier. In fact, we won’t even bother trying to find another option, because we’re certain no one else would compare.

Rogier replaced a small deck off of our master bedroom that was clearly poorly built by original builders resulting in water pooling and wood rot. His work is excellent with amazing attention to detail that not only has given us a deck that looks fantastic but one that appears to be infinitely better built than the previous with many little details to prevent water pooling.
