Mountain River Lodge

The location alone is worth the stay here. That said we stayed in the Cedar Point cabin and it was a little quirky. The cabin is in the process of being updated: the bathroom freshly refreshed, bed was comfortable, but there was only a small old couch inside for relaxing. We also never saw the owner, but they responded promptly to any inquiries.

What a gorgeous property! We only regret that we arrived along with inclement weather and couldn't explore it fully the one night we stayed. The room was cozy and adorably decorated, and we were entirely independent of everyone else on the property. Please note that the Moose's Nook doesn't have a lock or latch on its bathroom door, so if you require that privacy, it's not the room for you. We were fine with it. The property itself is beautiful and so soothing; the river really is right there, and the sound is so relaxing. We didn't have breakfast because we were traveling over Thanksgiving weekend, but we look forward to trying that next time!

The view from our room in the lodge looked directly at Mt Robson, and we had a small deck overlooking the mountain and river.The room itself was small, just enough space for the bed and a tiny table. There were two chairs on the deck with a table there as well. Outside the room in the landing was a microwave and an electric teapot and a small refrigerator. There wasn't any counter space, and no dishes, but there was enough room in the bathroom to fix a simple meal and we had brought some microwaveable dishes with us.We came at the end of the season and they were no longer serving breakfast. There wasn't any lobby space downstairs. If the weather had been bad it would have felt cramped, but as we had a clear day it was wonderful and we were happy to be in the outside lawn.I gave it 5 stars for the view.

Curtis and Claudia are great hosts and their property is beautiful and charming. You have beautiful views of Mt Robson with relaxing chairs by the river. The lodge room is really comfortable, clean and with a good shower. Curtis was really nice and let us store two bags there while we hiked to Berg Lake. Hope to stay at their cabins one day.

We stayed here in the lodge for 2 nights. The whole experience was amazing. Curtis and Claudia are very friendly, inviting, and knowledgeable of the area. They were ready and able to answer any questions we had about our trip and provided great suggestions. The food was delicious. The room was immaculate and comfortable. The view of Mount Robson from the patio is breathtaking, as is the Swift Current Creek steps away from the patio. I will (and already have) recommend the Mountain River Lodge to friends and family. Book early though!

Our cabin is nestled in the woods above the Swift Current Creek with the sound of rushing water lulling us to sleep. A cut in the tree line provided us with a direct view of Mount Robson from our sitting area. The cabin is newly remodeled with a lovely shower, matching dishes, a full kitchen right down to spices, and an electric fireplace at the foot of our bed. There is a picnic table and fire pit with a plentiful supply of wood, newspaper and gloves. The owners came over to visit us after arrival and are very friendly. Highly recommend this location.

We stayed in the Moose's Nook room for two nights. It is compact but comfortable with a nice seating area outside where we watched the endless hummingbird activity at the feeders. There is additional outdoor seating on a covered porch around the corner and a nice sitting area by the creek (you can see Mt Robson from there!). The hosts, Claudia and Curtis, were both very friendly and helpful. The visitor center for the provincial park is not far away, and the cafe near visitor center has good food.

Since the first point of contact over the phone Claudia was friendly and informative. Claudia was great at communicating back and forth via email (communication is important to me). Upon arrival, Curtis greeted my sister and I by our names; this made me feel like we mattered to them as clients. Our room was immaculate + comfortable. The lodge is strategically located a few kms away from Mount Robson Park and you can enjoy inspiring views of Mount Robson while drinking wine from the living room or enjoying a hot meal from the dining room. The setting, company, background music being played while waiting for our dinner was simply perfect. Also, breakfast was delicious and the hosts made themselves available to casually chat with guests about their experience living in the North. I left the Mountain River Lodge wanting to come back again. Thank you Claudia and Curtis (hosts)!!!
