Hôtel Tadoussac

While the hotel is old, it is very clean and the staff are super nice. The location us wonderful and with parking included. We enjoyed some local chocolats (which we had purchased) in the lobby, one evening, and loved the well maintained front lawn and planters. We would return there and encourage others as well. I am not sure the rooms with a view are worth the extra $ since they don't have balconies. Might as well just go for à 5 min walk, sit on the beach and watch minke whales in the distance!

The hotel is in a beautiful location. Easy walking distance to everywhere.Public areas are very nice. Chairs on the front lawn to relax and watch the water are great. Reception people were pleasant and helpful. Room was small but clean. No AC was a challenge at first, but there was a nice breeze when the window was open. It is pricey but that's what you get with a historic/iconic hotel. The only negative I have is the restaurant. Food was good, service was VERY POOR. Our waiter walked around us like we didn't exist and was very abrupt when he did serve us. Went for the breakfast buffet. Good selection. Made to order eggs was the best part. Hot items on the buffet were dry and/or rubbery.

We were a family of 6 and decided to get 3 rooms for 2 nights for a total of… wait for it… $2,500. The location is great, but the hotel is beyond a ripoff. If you’re thinking of ways to burn your money, then definitely come here. The scenery is beautiful and the hotel uses that to up their rates while providing beyond atrocious service. No AC, beds are small, everything looks old and dusty, etc, etc.. The sound of the fan makes you want to close it, but then the heat makes you need to open it. There’s no winning. I’ve spent the same amount at this hotel per night than I did at the 4 Seasons. Though the prices are the same, nothing else is similar. Complete rip-off!!!

Attractive historic hotel with great waterside location. Rooms were fine but staff were not friendly or welcoming

The hotel is perfectly positioned to explore the area on foot. Access to trails, whale watching, restaurants, and shops are effectively instant. The hotel has old school charm and is well maintained, with extensive outdoor space for patrons. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

The hotel was clean and had plenty of parking. The water facing room offers amazing view. It is close to all attractions. The rooms were due for a little upgrade considering the age of hotel. But despite that, it was clean. The buffet breakfast was amazing with many food options.

Pros:The only good thing about this hotel is the location and the barman. He is very helpful and nice.Con:-They where under staff for the restaurant so we couldn't eat there and the lady was a bit rude.Plus they would not do any room service.So we asked to eat their clam chowder at the bar and they refused saying that the direction of the hotel forbids it.-They didn't have any staff for the pool so we couldn't swim.-They didn't have any band to play at the bar.-The bed was very old and not comfortable.-The pillow was too thick.-The toilet paper was basically sand paper.-There is no bell boy to help with luggage.-We payed extra for a room with a view of the sea and the window was very tiny.(see picture)So I could go on. Basically a BnB could be better.

Dinner review: I was in town for three nights and ate at Hotel Tadousac two of the three evenings for dinner. Delicious!!! my husband and I each had appetizer, soup, and entree and we loved everything! Food was fresh, colorful, tasty, and beautifully arranged. Dinner was on the side of expensive, but honestly we felt it was worth it. Our first night in town we ate at a restaurant I would say it was good …but compared to Hotel Tadousac for similar price. the quality was much higher at Hotel Tadousac.

The Pearl of Tadoussac, cozy yet spacious hotel with super friendly and nice staff. Environmentally conscious and also support you with charging your Tesla. There are two EV charging station near by but make sure you have the appropriate adaptor for your car. I didn’t, but the hotel let me use the power plug in the garage. I love this hotel and will definitely come back

Wonderful hotel, the rooms are clean, the staff is nice, and the building itself is just beautiful. Location couldn’t be better, you can get a standard room facing the river for the same price and have a breathtaking view to wakeup to. 100% recommend !
