We had a birthday party with family. We were very impressed by the chefs entertainment, service, quality of food. Everything was amazingly tasty. I would highly recommend this place if you want something not ordinary.

OMO Teppan and Kitchen
Went to OMO Teppan & Kitchen Calgary Japanese Teppanyaki for the first time tonight, and we were absolutely wowed! We went to celebrate my kiddo graduating from grade 9, and we had such a blast!The staff were all so friendly and seemed like they genuinely loved their jobs (which always makes a huge difference). Our chef was hilarious and great entertainment, and the food was to die for! I'm still mad I forgot to grab a bottle of the ginger sauce, that stuff was amazing.All around 10 stars - we had a fantastic time, and this little picture they took and printed out for us was such a sweet little extra that we didn't expect!

Very good food and a good show (better than most). They do sing the happy birthday song frequently. There were obviously several people with birthdays, but it plays through the speakers in with the rest of the music like it was on a schedule. It was a lively place! The staff genuinely seemed to enjoy working there. We enjoyed our visit.There is a $19 per person minimum. The standard chicken hibachi meal with steamed rice is $35. If you have a child that’s where you’ll encounter an issue. Children generally don’t each much (mine don’t). So one person needs to get double fried rice or have the child order someone else’s sushi and appetizer and you’ll be set. The staff were very accommodating.

Great for parties or any occasion.Fun show with great food. Vincent was the best!! Our waitress was horrible, but i didn't let the bad service ruin my evening. I must add that this establishment has a bit of a scam going on. We were charged a 20 percent fee for a tip without being told. We had 4 people in our party, but the restaurant sat others at our table and counted the strangers as our guests on the bill allowing them to use the extra guests fir the automatic 20 percent add on.It was dark so my husband did not see the add on and tipped another 20 %. Apparently, many others have complained about this as well on the website.

Came here for a birthday dinnerIt was Super fun. didn’t know its all you can eat on Wednesdays but it was good bcus we get to try pretty much everything on our first time visit. The performance was awesome. Our chef (I forgot his name :( ) super nice and professional and fun.They did live performance which made the night even better. All the staff are friendly.(Don’t wear nice clothes bcus you will smell like barbecue after dinner lol)

Wedding/Birthday party of 12. Received a phone call the night before asking for $200 deposit. Please ask at time of booking. The entertainment by Vince was great and the food was good. The time limit for a party of 12 wasn't long enough for the chef. Consider that by party size when booking. We were rushed out, which left a bad impression. The idea is great but top notch venues are all about the details.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE!We wanted to have a family dinner celebrating our son birthday. Based on the great reviews we decided to go to OMO and it did not disappoint !! The service was top notch, from the hostess who apologized for them being late for our reservation, the cook was so entertaining and our waitress Christine who did such an amazing job anytime we needed anything she was there and for being honest in letting us know that the tip was already added to our bill and to skip the tip function so we don’t tip twice! The whole night they made sure to make our son feel special!! The food was really good and the portions were huge! We will definitely return!!!
