Formula Ford Lincoln

On July 5th I had a scheduled an appointment to have the evaporator in my vehicle replaced to fix the AC system. This was booked two weeks prior after having the system initially looked to identify the problem. When scheduling the appoint, I was told the work would take a couple hours and I would be able to pick up my vehicle in the early afternoon. Upon dropping off the vehicle on July 5th, I was informed my vehicle would not be ready until the early evening or possibly the next day. I reiterated that this did not align with what I was told when I had originally scheduled the appointment, otherwise I would have made arrangements for child care pick-ups in the afternoon. The service advisor informed me that they would see what they could do as there were 3 cars and one technician available. I inquired why 1 technician was booked to work on 3 cars at the same time, which of course they couldn’t provide a straight answer. If I had my vehicle scheduled and booked, technicians should be assigned to the work order and not double/triple booked. The Service Advisor did offer to provide a rental, if one was available, but could not confirm car seats would be included. I had already left the dealership at this point to try to make other arrangements for child care pick up in case the vehicle wasn’t ready. This was added work and stress on my part to figure out how to pick up my children from child care if my car was not ready on time or if it would be held overnight. I was told the by the service advisor they would call me back to confirm a rental, after an hour of waiting I called to figure out what was going on so I can make alternate arrangements, after leaving a message and speaking to the service desk I finally heard back from the service advisor that my car was taken in and I would get it back by 3 and I would receive a call when it was ready. This was fine, however the lack of communication and me trying to arrange alternate pick-ups for my children was unnecessary. At 230 I still had not heard from the service advisor so I called again and left a message. After about an hour of no returned phone call, I called again and got through. I was greeted with a “I was just about to call you to tell you your car was ready and I’m just closing out the paper work”. When I arrived to pay the invoice I noticed I was charged for about 10 hours of labour. When I questioned how this was possible if my car was only in the dealership from 8-3, for a possible total labour time of 6 hours, I was told this was standard practice for invoicing. The dealership is over charging customers for work and inflating labour hours for profit. My only hope is that the technicians are ones that benefit from this over charging practice. Overall, poor communication, poor scheduling of work and resourcing and questionable billing practices from this dealership. Also, still waiting for a call back from the Service Manager.

Probably wouldn't recommend this dealership/service, at least on the ford side. Have had 0 communications back when promised to book servicings (pre-paid maintenance package, also wouldn't recommend as they won't call you back when it's due) I'm always told I will be called back and haven't received any calls back for almost two years now. Very frustrating.I will add that purchasing my vehicle and the first few years had been a good experience. The experience I write about above has been more recently.

Been to other ford dealerships. This was by far one of the best. Ruoxi in particular was very helpful and got everything ready for me in a professional and timely manner. Really glad I did business with them.

Tanya in the service dept. was very helpful. My car required a part that was on back order and would take several months to get. This dealership arranged for me to have a rental car at no cost to me for the months that it took to get the part. When the part did come in the repair was done quickly. Formula Ford is a 5 star dealership

Ming was very responsible and professional. Trade in process was quick and clean, so it didn’t take too long for me to pull the trigger on my new Bronco. Definitely recommended if you are looking for your next ride!

The review is primarily for the service department. Personally I have had excellent experience with the service department. Tanya is super nice, polite, patient and extremely helpful. It’s very rare for a dealership to have good service and I must say these guys do! For sales department, they have plenty work to do in my opinion. They lost back to back sales from me alone on Bronco Sport and then Bronco Outerbanks simply because they were too prideful to negotiate price so i went somewhere else and purchased my cars. Not that my business would be a big loss but im just saying that sales team can improve.
