Sewing Legacy Custom Tailoring and Alterations

Jamal did all of the alterations for my wedding dress, and it turned out perfectly! He made sure that every last detail was right and was able to work with a complex material. He also custom made all of the suits for the wedding. For most of the groomsmen's suits he had to get all of the measurements virtually, but he made it work! If you need a wedding dress altered or are looking to get a custom suit for a special occasion, I would absolutely recommend Sewing Legacy!

I have only amazing things to say about this business and the people who work there. You will hands down get some of the most genuine customer service ever. They are a pleasure to deal with.I have and will continue to bring my entire wardrobe to get altered here. I have got pants hemmed, dress shirt sleeves shortened. I've had one of my shirts taken in [darting], and have gotten pant wastes taken in. The work has been fantastic and they are very well priced and have a quick turnaround.Sewing Legacy does custom tailoring so when I need a suit for my wedding, or a suit in general.. I will be going to them to fit me!

I met Jamal through Kingley, I have a Saville Row suit that needed alterations in a big way, In speaking with Jamal as to what I was looking for as well as a few suggestions from him, I felt at ease and in good hands. an Impossibly kind gentleman with over 40 years in the business It was exceedingly apparent that I found the right man to tackle my suit. Once completed, I put it on and it fit BETTER than a glove.... This man should Have is own shop on Saville Row!!! thank you Jamal

I cannot say enough nice things about my experience at Sewing Legacy. I had a suit made and the whole process was very special. Friendly professional service with exceptional attention to detail. I have never had a better experience with any purchase in my life, and somehow it was still very affordable. I also had my wife's wedding dress adjusted here and had a great experience with that too.

Not only was the tailoring exceptional, but Jamal's attention to customer service was beyond what you would expect (having experienced many sub-par tailoring experiences in the past, both in terms of customer service and quality of tailoring.)The age old adage applies here, that finding a good tailor is like finding a diamond in the rough. Jamal is an exceptional tailor. I have been seeing him since he was the tailor at Sears in Southcentre mall. He has altered countless dresses for me over the years including my wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses. He listens to exactly what you want and knows what needs to be done to make sure you have a perfect fit. My wedding dress was from a consignment store and needed so much work done to it. He altered the entire dress to fit me perfectly and added a belt to the dress that you would never know wasn't original. It was absolutely stunning when he was done with it. Jamal is a kind and patient man that truly cares about his customers. I always get compliments on my dresses, but it isn't the material, it is the tailoring that makes them stand out. Highly, highly recommend! If I could give him a 10 star rating I would!

I live in the northwest. I asked my dry-cleaner where I should go to get my wedding dress altered, and he recommended Sewing Legacy... a 25 minute drive south to Canyon Meadows. I was surprised that he would recommend a place so far from our neighbourhood..... but when I met Jamal, I immediately understood why. The whole team is professional, friendly, and very skilled.I was SO happy with the job they did, and the price was very reasonable.Highly recommend.

Do not waste your time looking elsewhere, if you want top notch service and experience seek the help of Jamal. Any garment that you bring to him will be taken with great care and made to fit to you like a glove. From bringing in raw denim to shirt alterations due to fluctuations in weight, Jamal is your best option. Should there be any issues that arise (from my experience) you will be helped until you leave satisfied. Can't recommend highly enough!
