Able Auctions

Buyer beware, I've noticed that they bid on their own auctions to set the minimum price that they're willing to accept. Items that have have bids turn up in later auctions leading me to the conclusion that they are inflating the price, if nobody out bids 'able auctions' those times are relisted down the road in another auction,

Found all the staff to be very friendly. Have had poor luck with electronic items but great deals on a lot of other things. Have to do your homework on items. Have seen a lot of people get caught up in bidding and pay more for things then they would have gone for at retail.

Staff are helpful and available. Facility is adequate and clean. Parking is terrible on auction days and loading bays are not convenient to use. Just remember that this is not a store. Be aware of what you are buying and do not rely on item descriptions. Inspect them and do your research online for peicing. There are good buys to be had, but it is not unusual for people to pay more than retail for items because they get caught up in bidding.

Buyer beware. We bought a dishwasher, which was represented as new with the tags on it. It was defective, and upon calling the manufacturer we were told it was a used model sold 4 years ago, and there is no warranty. Able auctions is claiming they never knew, and there is nothing they can do. Not impressed, to say the least. What a waste of money.... And extremely poor service. Never again will we be fooled by able auctions..

The first time I was at this newer location as my family lives there. The prices seemed like gr8 buys and I noticed a willingness to help. It was well laid out for the sale and easy to follow and see the listed items. The auctioneer was straight up in getting bids from the audience and no hidden agenda that I have seen in other smaller auction houses on the lower mainlandIn helping my father pick up his winnings met Mike the manager of this site and found him very available to answer the questions I had. I found that refreshing as usually other competitors only pay attention to u if your a big spender. I highly reccomend to attend but get information on what your buying and the retail prices. Make a list of what you can use and and establish a price you are willing to pay. My other suggestion is to listen while the item is being auctioned, and as it slows, at that time put a bid in. It takes practice as you dont want to lose your item but it will be worth your while.

The auction house was clean and well laid out making it easy to preview items. The auctioneer kept things moving at a decent pace and the prices were really reasonable for items. The payment process was orderly, if slightly delayed - it took about 15 min after winning a bid for the information to make it upfront so that we could pay for our items.

Great staff and even better product! If you need quality household appliances, furniture, ect. this is the place to go!

It was fun attending my first auction and I won a vitamix. The staff were helpful on the procedures after being the successful winning bidder.
