It was a tad chilly walking around on the Halifax harbour and since we had time to kill we wanted to see what this place was about.Now from the patio with blankets and fire pit like tables you would not guess this place has a sushi bar inside but it does.I don’t eat seafood but my partner in crime wanted to try it so in we went. I had the ramen and she had the fish and chips.Also some spring rolls as an appetizer. All were very good and very tasteful. Our waitress was very attentive and made sure we were well cared for.

Loved this restaurant!We stopped in on a cold morning walk for a specialty coffee because they had cozy fire tables and blankets to sit outside. We warmed right up while enjoying a beautiful view. Ended up ordering lunch (sushi rolls for everyone ).So many options & they were fantastic.We loved it so much we ate there again before ending our Nova Scotia trip. We all did the sushi rolls again only a lot more!Atmosphere and service were also wonderful .A must stop on the boardwalk.

Great location and atmosphere. The food was excellent with beautiful plating and presentation. My only issue was that the service was mediocre. It wasn't bad but for the prices and the location, I would have expected much better. Overall very good and would definitely return for another visit.

Great Japanese restaurant that’s right on the water.The rice was too soft and mushy for my liking however the salmon and the other fish were fresh.The rock shrimp was out of this world good! I really enjoyed that as an appetizer.The oysters were mediocre at best. There are other restaurants where you can find better oysters.Overall I would give the restaurant a 4.3/5 star. A little on the expensive side but worth it if you want sushi.Make sure you get reservations for inside especially on a cold day. Outside has fire pits and blankets but even two blankets won’t help you freeze.

Great outdoor eating by the sea. Prices are a bit high but quality is here! The service is perfect and the decor is lovely. There are some great chefs behind the counter and the sushis are just incredible. The chowder by the way is delicious. Many gluten free options! One can have fire on the tables outside, really neat when the evening is chill or just for fun! A must try !

One of the most incredible sushi experiences we’ve had! We were visiting for a few days and ended up here twice because it was that good! Sushi was incredibly fresh with so many delicious options to pick from. We also ordered the duck bao which was yummy (it was a DIY as in they gave you everything on a plate and you assemble yourself which was pretty neat).The second time we were on the patio which has fire pits at each table along with blankets- a lovely touch when it’s chilly outside.Loved the experience and would highly recommend!

Honestly I loved everything about our experience at Sea Smoke! It was a bit chilly out but the fire and blankets were amazing and really I wouldn’t want to be there on a super hot sunny day anyways! Staff were wonderful and enjoyed chatting with our waitress. Food was delicious! My husband was so happy with the chowder and lobster meal. A bit pricey but given the setting and amazing quality, it was worth it. A memorable experience from our time in NS!

This was the last restaurant we ate at before going home… the atmosphere is just spectacular! We got a table outside at the fire pits, overlooking the harbour.. this in and of itself was amazing.. an experience I’ve never had in Toronto. The food was good.. my favourite was the lobster sushi.. I wish I ordered more! I was let down by the lobster roll though.. the wasabi sauce was too overpowering and I was unable to enjoy the lobster roll because of it.

Sea Smoke Restaurant & Bar
Went here for a birthday dinner. They were able to sit our walk-in party of five promptly (on a Saturday night!) and we had quick service all night. We were sat outside, and the fire pits and blankets made the waterfront wind pretty tolerable. You don't get a lot of food for the money, but it was all great, fresh, semi-uncommon seafood. Regardless, we had a great time!

Sea Smoke Restaurant & Bar
Beautiful restaurant in Bishop's landing on the Halifax waterfront. The atmosphere is fantastic. Sitting outside on the boardwalk watching the people go by. The view of the ocean and the boat's coming in and out. The food was fantastic and the drinks were good. Service was amazing.
