Determination Martial Arts

I was referred by another parent. Our first few classes I was a little skeptical. After watching the woman instructor with my two girls. I couldnt be more happier. It's not just martial arts. They are also teaching these kids some life lessons and morals. To be kind to one another. They are also not all about getting your money. You can tell that that really and truly are there for these kids. I value that and love that they put the children first and not the money. Great for the community.

Cannot rave enough about DMA. If you don't have Ms. Emily and Thor in your life - you should.

Words cannot describe how much my child's life has improved when he started kickboxing at the DMA. Although much of any extra-curricular is about a good fit for the child, and it has been a fantastic fit for ours, Emily and Thor at Determination Martial Arts have made a very special space for children and adults. Our son is trans, and not once has he faced a single moment of bias. The space is incredibly positive and has a feeling of safety and inclusiveness like no other I have come across. Emily is patient and very kind, and connects with her students in a respectful and kindly authoritative manner. Her teaching style encompasses compassion, and is tempered with a willingness to encourage her students to test their limits and be better beyond their expectations. It's a complex method, and she makes it look effortless.

Great place for kids to learn Karate and life skills:) Emily and her team are amazing! Fantastic program for all ages and are very accommodating to needs. Highly recommend this club.

Amazing staff that are wonderful with kids. Classes here teach kids so much while having a blast. Couldn't recommend Determination enough to any parent.

I found DMA through a friend. I was looking for things to do with my homeschooler to keep them active and various other things. I never imagined myself joining, and I definitely never imagined feeling like I belong. Miss Emily holds a homeschool class twice a week now and the kids get along very well. The children vary in ages but work together and have a lot of fun learning in a nurturing environment. I love how much patience the staff has with the children.I joined at the beginning of last year and have been going pretty steady since. I love spending the time I get in the evening there. The clients are a lot of fun too and it makes it enjoyable and exciting to go to the next workout.Miss Emily is a truly kind and caring individual with the patience of a saint. She is amazing to be coached by and supported by. At a point in my life where I truly felt I would never feel a part of something - I kind of feel at peace there. I can't say enough about how great this school is. My daughter has learned so much about herself and come so far in her confidence and self-esteem since starting here, it's incredible.
