Friendly/ helpful staff, but extremely, extremely pricey. Sale items are typically still a lot more expensive than regularly priced items elsewhere.

Picked up a Sugardale Ham and made it today. Absolutely wonderful. The store has a great variety of fruits and vegetables, good selection of meat too.

Very genuinely happy to help staff. Easy to find what your looking for. With lots of variety. Lots of tills open as well as self serve. I prefer using the tills and being able to ask about deals and promotions going on

Good quality food and will remain a staple in my groceries week to week, but I am disappointed by the prices. No fault to the workers, who are great. Loblaw's CEO Galen Weston Jr. has complained that he has unfairly become the face of food inflation, but I would have to disagree. When I can go to any other store in a 10km radius and buy some of the same name brand items for as low as half the price it's being sold for at Independent, it's absolutely fair to name him the face of food inflation. Help out your wallet and your community by buying the bulk of your groceries elsewhere. After all, it's important to vote with your wallet.

It's a good place in Cornwall for fresh premade food with a deli and bakery all in the same location as well as fresh sea food and butcher shop. A one stop shop for groceries.

On Feb 14, 2023. Bought 2 croissants with fruit, drizzled with chocolate. Pointed to server which one's I requested as they were the last two there. I received 2 small cheese cake tarts. Didn't realize till I showed my mother. Not what I ordered, very disappointed. IF I go back, I guess I'll have to watch closely to see what they give me.
