Groovy

Great selection of styles in-store, had my size in everything I wanted to try on, and really amazing sales and customer service all around. They really listened to what I was looking for and never pushed me to pick something that I wasn’t sure would be the right fit for my needs. Also, they have excellent COVID protocols so there were very few customers in the store with me. I went into a number of shoe stores on Monday but this was the best of them all.

Those who know me... know how I love a great sneaker. Groovy has been my primary spot for a retro style since I moved to Toronto back in the summer of 1999. The staff over the years have been friendly, easy to connect with and knowledgeable.

So I “bought” a pair of New Balance that I have been looking for for months. Really excited can’t wait for my shoes. I choose in store pick up and wake up the next morning with my order cancelled.I call the store, they tell me the product I chose isn’t even in the hand of the company and that New Balance has them in the USA still.The employee told me to order the product for shipping to my house “if I wanted the shoes still”. Obviously I did, I choose shipping and buy them again.Now another week has passed, I wake up again to another email saying I’ve been refunded again due to “supply issues”.I’ve never had this problem buying sneakers before. I don’t know any other stores that advertises that they have product when it hasn’t left the manufacturers hands.To sum it all up, I was sold on a pair of shoes TWICE and still never got them after waiting about 2-3 weeks. Pretty strange that a store advertises stock they don’t actually have in person.Would be a one star review if the employee on the phone when I re-ordered was rude, but they weren’t and helped me decently.Overall, I don’t think I’ll buy sneakers here again, there are way too many stores in Toronto that sell shoes to rely on a shop that doesn’t even have the product they advertise.

Staff was very welcoming the two times I have come here, and they are also helpful and well versed with shoes. (As they should be at a shoe store)The presentation of the shoes and store as a whole is a great layout and it is easy to find whatever you are looking for.It is also a great location, and is a nice place to visit, especially with their massive sale currently going on.Definitely reccomend this place to anyone looking for some new shoes.

Great staff and an overwhelming track record of having styles and colors not available elsewhere as well as a good selection of those found at the mainstream shops (thus making one-stop shopping much easier). It’s my go to for the latest releases and just an overall cool store. Check it out

Sarah was the most helpful associate out of any shoe store I've been to! Very knowledgeable and honest with different brands and really understood what I was looking for in a shoe. Ended up finding the perfect one! Super happy and it's a brand I had never tried before!

Great in-person shopping, I've bought at least 5 pairs at the queen location; but what is wrong with the online store? They promise to ship out orders within 1-3 business days (in the FAQ) and also 1-7 business days (along the header)? How does that make any sense?After three enquiries on when an order would ship after waiting multiple days without a shipping confirmation, I was promised a phone call as to why my order was taking so long.Instead they never called me back, and the next day (a full week later) just cancelled/refunded my order.I never make bad review about anything, but this company needs to work better at fulfilling orders and their abysmal customer service. If you're offering 24 hour customer service, at least answer your customers messages.

really regret and mistake to get product from this store!! damaged several months after wearing the shoe. And they said please go Nike, after I went nike they said Groovy should change or give your money back. BUT , they dont have customer service and they regret to help me. Just give 5-10 more box and buy from orginal Nike store. This Groovy store is mistake. And I think their shoes not orginal quality, bad quality.

This place was so welcoming, a retail store with a bright clean place. Sana was super helpful and knowledgeable of the product and bc of that 3 of us bought a pair of shoes hahahahahah!
