Oak Meadows Pet Resort

We were really worried about leaving our senior dog for about a month while he’s on meds! However, the team at oak meadows pet resort took great care of Luca. They even made 2 trips to the vet to get his meds and prescription diet without charging us for transportation. That was very kind and generous of them! They replied to my emails promptly when I checked up on him. Thank you so much for your care. We will definitely come back again!

I very much wanted to give this location a 5 star rating. The kennel seemed great, daily pictures posted of the dogs and cats staying there. Our dog seemed quite happy for the 15 nights he spend over the holidays.However, after we picked him up, we noticed that he had a green discharge coming from his eyes, trip to the vet determined he had picked up conjunctivitis from the kennel. He has also been diagnosed with a stomach bacteria from something he ate. He has severe diarrhea with blood.At the moment, the vet trips and bills are becoming more than his stay. He was healthy before going.

I have brought my pets to Oak Meadows several times now, and although it is a bit of a drive to get there, it is well worth the trip. John and Heather are wonderful with animals, and their care and concern for them is immediately apparent. My dog and all of my cats have had a great time there, been well looked after and had lots of exercise, as well as interactions with other animals and humans! John also sends terrific photos of the pets to you while you are away, which is just that extra lovely touch, showing that they know how we love our animals and want to know they are having a good time too! Highly recommended.

Roger runs a very smooth operation. He is always super friendly and helpful while booking, and he takes such good care of our dog that he gets excited every time we drop him off - then runs back in to the kennel happily when we are trying to pick him up! We never have any guilt or worry dropping a dog off to Oak Meadows.

I left my dog twice at this place. The first time, my dog stayed for three days. He seemed to be having lots, and lots of fun on the pictures, which made us to feel secure that my dog was fine, despite the fact that he was away from us. However, when my husband and I went to pick my dog up, we noticed that had no voice. It didn't feel right to me and in my opinion it was the immediate consequence of a lot of barking. Why???????? I really don't know. It took a whole week for my dog to recover his voice. Talking to one of the employees, she said that my dog was too excited and barked for everything. So, I gave the kennel the benefit of a doubt and left my dog again, but this time for 8 days. During my trip, I could see that my dog was always playing and having fun on the pictures posted in the web. When I went to pick up my dog, I was in shock...........his eyes were swollen and blood red. Immediately I questioned the person in charge what had happened, and she said that they had some people cutting high grass around their property and that my dog was probably allergic. They gave him Benadryl once. My biggest problem with this situation was that, my dog started showing signs of an eye problem on Friday morning. We went to pick him up on Sunday evening..........Before I had left to my trip, I gave them my daughter's cell phone number in case of emergency. They never contacted my daughter. We took my dog to the vet and the doctor said: The dog's eyes are in bad shape. We will need to do tests to see if his cornea has been scratched ( due to constant paw scratching) and I am glad you brought him at this point

Always great service and treat furry customers and humans like family. Highly recommended! It’s been our dogs favourite resort to enjoy while her owners enjoy their vacation as well.

Best boarding kennel I've ever taken my dogs to! They're cared for above and beyond and loved on the whole time I'm away.

Roger, Melissa and Holly are genuinely nice people and they have been providing my pup with a safe place to play with her friends during her weekly doggy day camps for almost 2 years now. She always lights up with excitement when we turn ino their driveway which is endorsement enough for me.

My dogs love coming here.It is a great sign when they can hardly wait to get out of the car and run right up to the door. I love that the owners post pictures everyday so I can see my fur babies playing and enjoying themselves.The ladies who run the place do a fantastic job and you can tell that they really love the animals that are in their care. Their prices are very competitive and you can't beat the wide open spaces that the dogs get to enjoy while they are there. I will certainly keep using their services.

I volunteered here from January-April 2016 for community hours for school. I know from having volunteered there that the dogs and cats are treated nicely and the kennels are clean. We have brought both our dogs here and they both enjoyed it. Abby is also very good with last minute cancellations and even let us keep our dog there without having her spend the night. I wouldn't think of taking our dog anywhere else!
