Sort of standoffish and not very friendly owner/worker. No incentive to return there.....

This long-time Victoria sewing store on Foul Bay Road is a regular haunt for my daughter and me (and my mother before us). The shop has great management in the person of Tina. In fact, I discovered a special collection of beautifully made children's clothing, sewn right there by Tina while I shop! For its size, the store has an amazing amount and variety of inventory! I love this shop!

This shop is an institution that has been revamped a number of times in the past 40 years by different owners. Currently they carry a good selection of trims and buttons with some new lines and modern accessories. Small but nicely edited selection of mostly cotton fabrics are also updated seasonally.

Prices are steep...but the fabrics are very good quality. There's a lot of everything in this store. The woman who was there was nice. I was visiting Victoria and wanted a souvenir.

The service is warm and helpful. So happy she opened Sundays for a quick trip over to get my stuff. I've always liked popping in, and they have a good array of kiddie's masks I send my grandchildren.

This store has been around for 60 plus years in the same location. As a guy I can't say I frequent it often but when I have they have always been helpful and had a solution for me. I see it is up for sale. I hope someone buys it and keeps it like it is.. an ode to making stuff yourself, repairing and recycling etc. all way before this became hip and artisanal";back when it was good common sense and practical."

40 years ago this was one of my favourite shops. 25 years agoI found the prices a bit high under a new owner. Today I was shocked by the mess, very limited selection and sales" person who was busy with her phone the whole time I was there.The space is small but could be much better organized and kept somewhat tidy and much cleaner. My impression was that the owner is no longer interested in the business and is letting it run into the ground.This small shop could be excellent for a single focus. I had not been to the store in years. I came in searching for something that they did not end up having but they were able to point me towards a different store that might. The staff are so helpful and lovely. I will definitely be back. Their selection of buttons is absolutely jaw-dropping. They have vintage buttons and real mother of pearl buttons and so many creative buttons. There are ribbons, some fabric, and lots of other items that would be useful for people who sew or quilt. There are also some original dresses and shirts and baby clothes that are handmade in there that one can purchase. It is easy to see why this store has survived for 55 years.

Adorable local fabric shop with the cutest flannelette, cotton, and fleece prints! All at reasonable prices, too. It's a small shop but they make the most of the space they have, and they sometimes have truly amazing sales going on! The owner is super, super friendly and helpful, too. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

This is one of my favourite places I’ve stumbled across in the city! Finally stopped in today after driving past for years and I was over the moon & in button heaven!
