Clear-Cut Flooring

I liked that Joel provided a detailed estimate breaking down the charges to level the floor and install the vinyl plank flooring. His estimate seemed fair for the scope of work being done.Joel didn’t arrived prepared to start the job. He asked for a marker to mark the floor and whether or not I had a tarp or plastic to cover the couch and TV. He also needed tape to put up a sheet of plastic I provided to try and keep dust out of the kitchen.During the installation of the Lauan hundreds of screws weren’t installed properly. Joel was quick to respond that that they would either be removed or sunk. We ended up removing hundreds of screws and installing new shorter ones.An area that was to be levelled by the kitchen entrance with Ardex and Lauan wasn’t levelled properly leaving a big gap at the kitchen entrance.Some of the Vinyl Planks weren’t installed per the Manufacturer’s instructions of not being less than 8” in length. One was only 1” inch in length. While it likely won’t pop out because it is in corner where there will be trim it doesn’t look good.We never knew for sure what time he would start. One day just after 9:00, another day at 10:00. He did email me when he was going to be extra late or miss a day which I appreciated.Even though he took the hardwood that was removed to the dump when I asked him about the garbage in our bedroom. I was told he didn’t get rid of that. He did offer to put it outside. I said I would get rid of it.I found a couple of areas where damage had been done to the walls. I was never told about them, only to find them after the job was done.

We moved into our new home and Joel was there a few days later. He laid the flooring and did an awesome job with the small details. He was professional, timely, well priced, and easy to work with! Highly recommend.

Found this company on Google and couldn't be happier my floor needed removal and full new install was quoted a price and walked through every step of the way. Had great communications through out install. Job was completed on time and when finished came in less than original quote as he was able and willing to re use some materials.
